This is your basic, unbranded USB 3.0 flash drive. It came with a little lanyard, and already formatted in exFAT, though I tested it with FakeFlashTest and reformatted back to exFAT. It tested at an actual capacity of 117.1GB, which is definitely in the right ballpark for a 128GB drive. However, even just testing the capacity seemed to be going a bit slowly, so I also checked the speed. Using CrystalDiskMark, I measured sequential read and write speeds of 120MB/s and 70 MB/s, respectively. That’s generally ok, and speedy enough for transferring very large files to/from this drive. However, if you have lots of small files to move, it’s not so good. The Random read and write were only around 5 MB/s and 0.8 MB/s, respectively. This is actually a pretty slow random write speed and reveals that this is a fairly low-quality flash memory chip, and the flash controller needs to write at a very slow rate to avoid errors while writing multiple small files or multiple random write locations. So, this is a fairly low-quality drive, and will frustrate you if you are transferring thousands of pictures or other large sets of small files (that would take hours). However, if you just plan to sneakernet a large ISO file around once in a while, this drive should be just fine. Just to verify this, I transferred a real, single 7.67GB ISO file to the drive. It took exactly 2 minutes, and wrote at an average speed of 64MB/s (always between about 62 and 65, so fairly constant speed). For the file size, this was fast enough not to cause frustration, so the drive is certainly usable for these situations. I certainly wouldn’t rely on it for long term archival storage of important files, but it should be fine to shuttle large stuff back and forth. Personally, I wouldn’t mind buying this drive, even with these limitations, if it were much cheaper than some of the name brand alternatives. Although it is somewhat less expensive, it’s not enough less expensive to justify the performance, so I’m not sure I’d call this a great “value” unless you really need to save the few extra bucks. Final Rating: 3 stars. I’m knocking off two stars for the extremely slow random write speed. But it does at least work, and sequential read/write is in the ballpark of USB 3.0 speeds (lower end, though), and the 128GB size was legitimate (117GB actual).

This flash drive is much faster than advertised. It can do bulk writes at about 65-70 MB/s and bulk reads at about 120-130 MB/s. This is definitely sufficient for most uses cases. It doesnt even get very hot, which is a common problem. Im knocking a star off for 2 reasons: - while I was doing a stress test and copying many files concurrently it disconnected once from the USB bus, which forced me to restart the transfer. This is something that doesnt happen with my setup and quality, reliable drives. This happened only once, but I still wouldnt want to relay on this flash drive for unsupervised use or critical documents. It should be more than fine to move media around. - while peak transfer speeds are fast, sustained speeds can be lower. In some cases reading from the drive happens at 60 MB/s, that while still plenty fast is literally half the top speed I get with bulk transfer.

I see around 130MB/s download speed from this drive, so thats more that adequate for watching videos from it. Its also a great little drive for making backup copies of important documents. Great value!

These 8 GB flash drives are an awesome value! You get plenty and they work great. Its so nice to have spares around, too. Theyre really durable, and not bogged down with a bunch of random drivers and software. We like them, and recommend them!

Works very well. No complaints so far. Large enough for me to put all the documents I want to in and transfer between my computers.

After receiving the device, I underwent full population and tests using CheckFlash. In a matter of a few minutes (thanks to USB 3.0 superspeeds!) the tests completed with flying colors. The advertised capacity is accurate, and operates right below the top burst speeds for reads. Writes were a little slower than expected, but reliable. Its a handy little flash drive thats well worth the price.

Was satisfied with the amount of flash drive I got. I have so many photos I want to transfer from a sad card and I needed more than one drive to do it. Two thumbs up from me. Thank you

Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review. The drives come packed and individually wrapped and they work right out of the package. They’re formatted exFAT so they’ll work in a Windows or Mac computer without you having to format anything. They’re all blue in color and they’re each 64GB and they’ve got a rotating metal cover to protect the USB connector that attaches to the shortish lanyard. The Mac disk info gives a total of 62.91GB of usable space, and the Windows computer has 58.5GB. The plastic cover encasing the drive seems durable enough, and at the end is a tiny LED indicator light that you can only see if you move the metal protective cover to the side. The drives are USB 3.0, so not the latest version of the firmware, but they’re still pretty fast. I copied a 500MB video file to the drive in just a little over 15 seconds. They seem pretty solid, and should take care of most people’s need for a flash drive. You might even have enough flash drives left over to use them as stocking stuffers for Christmas. All in all, a good value for some solid flash drives.

These come in a multipack as pictured. Each drive is individually wrapped in cellophane labelled with the drives capacity within this outer Ziplock-style bag. Also included are twelve blank, white, sticky labels so the drives can be identified. The wrist-sized lanyards are handy for making the drives a little less droppable. They are made of strong nylon and feel like they will hold up to all normal use. I popped these into my older, USB2.0 Windows machine and they were immediately recognized and showed about 58.5GB of space (which is correct using manufacturer math). I copied a 2GB file from the physical hard drive onto these flash drives and saw speeds during the copying around 30MB/s to transfer -- it took several minutes. Then I plugged them into my newer, faster, USB3.0 (also Windows) machine where they were again immediately recognized, showing the same amount of space. The 2GB file transferred from this flash drive to my internal SSD at 150MB/s -- this took less than a minute. They are made of a rugged plastic with a typical metal cover that spins in and out of the way. The drive body and the USB connection are strong and feel quite durable (I want durable in my portable data devices).
