They have three height levels with spring-loaded silver buttons used to adjust. I started at the highest level and realized it was too high. With my monitors still on the stands I (very carefully) popped the buttons to the middle settings and had no issues. In other words: Very easy to use. As you can see from my photo, they easily accommodate my over-sized monitors. Assembly: Each leg screws into the stand. Thats it.
