3-IN-ONE Motor Oil, 3 OZ [24-PACK]

> 24 hourAlthough it says on the can that its specially formulated for motors 1/4 HP and above, I also use this 3-in-1 oil to soak the felt wicking of sintered bronze bearings in even smaller fractional horsepower motors found in things like bath vent fans and dehumidifiers as part of their routine annual maintenance. Its basically the same 20-weight non-detergent motor oil that I buy in quarts at the auto parts store only in a smaller, easier to use can. In these lighter-duty applications, I find it works as well as paraffin based turbine oil where more extreme high speed motor and blower rpms are not an issue. This oil also comes in handy for general purpose lubrication of hinges and other moving parts, so I tend to use it often for those types of things as well. For my needs it seems to last longer and hold up better than the ordinary multi-purpose 3-in-1 oil, which is thinner and also has the strong 3-in-1 tell-tale odor.

> 24 hourThis is the only oil that I have ever used for lubrication of motor shafts, working parts, hinges, etc. It is my go to remedy for squeaky fan blades. A must have.

> 24 hourEven though this oil is relatively cheap, it does the job of oiling very well. I have used it so far for a sliding window screen and the results were great. Good value for the money.

> 24 hourThe bottle I got leaked so I got oil on my hands so that was not good. I like how the cap is attached to bottle but it got in the way a little bit so I had to clean oil off it. But I disassembled my fan motor, cleaned all the parts and used this oil for all the parts and after it was assembled and powered on, my fan works better than it has in a long time! It has more power and makes almost no noise now even when its been running non-stop for last 48 hours on high!

> 24 hourContainer is easy to open and easy to use, without making any mess, if youre careful. Can was so fairly slim and easy to work with in the space I had available for repair. Used the oil on an old oscillating fan I have outdoors. Fan motor would hum but no movement at all. If youve ever experienced this issue, you can sometimes spin the fan manually and it will gradually work by itself after that initial force. So for my particular repair, theres pieces of rubber that dry out because I have the fan outside on my patio, in constant hot and humid weather (S. Texas locale). Oil was not available at my closest Walmart and I didnt want to make the drive to Home Depot or Lowes. Shipping on this was slower than they estimated, though it was free. The can came out to just over $9, if I recall correctly. For my uses, that small can will last me a couple years, so its worth the money to get the right product for the job. Very satisfied with purchase

> 24 hourI used this product to oil my window fan, unfortunately i used the regular black 3 in 1 in it some years ago as it was really hot and i needed a fan, unfortunately i kind of forgot about it having detergent oil in it and used it for another 4 years, it was too far gone as it was making electrical burning smells after just reoiling the bearings with this proper oil, i dont blame 3 in 1, if anything the wrong product i chose of theirs helped, that fan lasted 4 more years and it was dead 4 years ago. I have other fans like my crofton tower fan and my honeywell turboforce fan i will not hesitate to continue to use this product on!

> 24 hour3 in 1 oil was invented in 1894. Its in a small can and is used for small jobs requiring oil lubrication. The only time this product would not receive five stars would be if the can was defective and leaked, or if the price was excessive. My can from Amazon did not leak, was in perfect condition, and was very reasonable priced. The only change over the years has been from packaging in metal cans to packaging in plastic cans. The metal was probably better. But if the plastic doesnt leak, its just as good.
