These 58A cartridges are a third-party replacement toner cartridges for HP laser printers, dont get it mistaken with OEM cartridges. They are designed to replace the original HP 58A toner cartridges and come with pre-installed chips that allow them to work seamlessly with your printer. Having a chip in your toner cartridge means that it will be able to communicate with your printer and send the toner level info. I highly recommend using cartridges with pre-installed chips as your printer will not detect the cartridges without them and youll have to carefully take the chips out of your old cartridges and transfer these chips to the replacement cartridges yourself, which will be a challenging and time-consuming task. Save your time and sanity and get cartridges with chips.

I have been using them in my HP Color Laser Jet Pro (MFP M281fdw) printer which Ive had for a few years and love. I find the print quality, black and color, excellent. The HP brand cartridges are very expensive, so I saved a lot of money for the same quality. Cant find any reason to buy any other brand.
