This set is fine for light duty jobs and likely isnt a surprise given the low price of the product. Its like barely over a dollar per holesaw which is insanely cheap. Ive used several of them for different jobs. I think their niche is cutting through drywall for things like can lights or through particleboard or other softer materials. I used one of them to cut through a piece of 3mm carbon fiber and while it did make it through, the holesaw is basically shot and really dull now. If youre going to use these hard, Id look to a quality HSS or carbide holesaw that will last longer at a higher cost.

Bought this set to do a plumbing project, but I also wanted to have a variety of sizes on hand. This seemed like a nice homeowner quality set. looks very nice and complete...but you better have a drill with a 1/2 chuck. They give you two mandrels in the set and I figured the smaller one would fit my 3/8 drill. Nope. They are both too big! Luckily I have a big hammer drill with a large chuck so I was able to use the set for my project. Thats all well and good but there are a lot of places this monster drill would not fit. I only used 1 size for three holes and it seems to cut clean without much effort. I cant speak to longevity, but quality seems reasonable at the price. Bummer about the mandrels.

It was my first time using a hole saw so had to fiddle to figure it out. I get it that its a tool and may not necessarily come with instructions but it would be nice to have as some parts are not intuitive. I put the drill bit assemby it came with and hole saw bit together the first time with the result if it being loose. I flipped one of the threaded components (the bolt) and it came out tighter. It was also odd that tightening is by turning left instead of right. This may be standard with other kits but I find that the starter drill bit could be shorter, perhaps I can find an adapter and use my other drill bits. So far only used one but it seems to work fine. Good variety if sizes.

This complete kit is excellent. Very sharp cutters. It includes an inch and a quarter, which many kits leave out. Super value. Highly recommended.

Check the exact size you need to cut out holes for LED spots. I needed a cut-out for 8 LED, but this one did not fit. The hole is too small and I will need to buy another hole saw. This hole saw is 203 mm.

This was bought for my spouse. He has not had a chance to use them, but when he does, I will update my review.
