I thought it was dead on arrival, but you have to really pay attention to how you plug it the port in the back. There is an extra pin that clicks when you push a little harder. I learned this after a mild panic attack and much research.

Its a great laptop for gaming and streaming. Battery life is the weakest part. I only manage 2-3 hours.

This laptop is 100% worth the money. I did a lot of research into many many different laptops, specifically in the $600-$900 range, and this was the one I went with. And I’m very glad I did. I bought it mainly for gaming and it works like a charm. Just some examples: 150+ FPS on Fortnite with high performance graphics, 250+ FPS on Rocket League with high performance graphics, 300+ FPS on Minecraft (default “fancy” graphics), 200+ FPS on Forza Horizon with high graphics. I’ve had absolutely no problems with it as far as gaming goes, and it works great for any daily work you may want to use it for. Note that I did add an extra 8gb of crucial ram into the open slot, which does improve performance. The only slight issue it has is that the fans can be a bit loud for more intensive games or programs. However, that’s the case for many budget gaming laptops. Some good headphones will do the trick if it gets to be a problem. But like I said, this laptop is exactly what I was looking for and if you’re looking for a good gaming laptop in the $800 price range, this is it.

Main issue is screen display all the way turned down while playing a card game, I’m lucky if the battery even lasts two hours! Disappointed about battery life mainly! Sucks having it plugged in all the time!

Broken right out of the box. Did not charge and did not turn on.

I had to return the Acer Nitro to Amazon. The computer failed to boot properly twice within the first two weeks and both times it said the system needed to be completely reset before using it again. I have had an Acer Aspire for more than 5 years and it has performed without a problem during that time, so I do not have the patience to keep wiping and resetting a brand new $800 dollar computer.

This laptop says its for gaming but you cant even run dual monitors. It has one. ONE! HDMI out port and the USB-C port isnt lighting so you cant run a monitor on it. Even after buying a USB 3.0 doc for it with an additional HDMI port on it you still cant run a second monitor.
