> 3 dayI bought this as a middle ground to decide whether i wanted to get back into gaming on a computer, or go back to a system. Not gonna lie, thought it was great at first and was tempted to write it a review, but I gave it a bit more time and now i feel like i have a better understanding of it.

> 3 dayI have had this for a couple years now and still loving it. I used it to edit videos for a long while and it kept up with it very well. I recently started playing games on it and it has kept up with that as well. I have ran into the issue of updating my graphics card and it just wont take it with windows 11 so make sure you are up to date with that apperantly!

17-12-2024When my four year old Toshiba died, I started looking for a replacement. I researched several laptops to find the right one for me, a mix of office style working and also great gaming. I ended up choosing this one and for me, it was a mistake. The laptop came, the setup was a piece of cake, it was powerful, great display, ran all the programs I used...and then it started acting up. A laptop is designed to move around with it, thats why it also runs on a battery. Apparently, the AC port on this one isnt made for that. After a couple days of unplugging it once a day for a couple hours, the laptop started to charge/discharge even though it was plugged in. It would beep incessantly, the screen would dim and brighten and unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it wouldnt stop. However, once I did the latter, it wouldnt last but a few minutes and would start again. After 35 days and a few tries at getting Acer to help me, they told me Id have to send it back and theyd have it at least four weeks or more. THIS IS A BRAND NEW LAPTOP!! Finally, Amazon was kind enough to send me a replacement which, after about 15 days, started the same thing. After a lot of research, I learned that the AC port is only tacked in place and if you remove the back and work on it, you can get the AC port to behave as it should. Um...no, not on a brand new laptop. I could expect that after a year or two, but not after 15 days. So, I am returning this yet again and have found another from a different manufacturer that Im hoping will work for me.

> 3 dayBought this laptop on special. Beasts any game you throw at it. Best laptop ,for the price, on the market. Easily. If I had to pick a flaw it would be the battery is a little weak for what this laptop has inside it. Acer also offers a 1 year warranty so I couldnt be happier!

> 3 dayI bought this for my daughter that is studying animation (and may spend a little time with her Sims). Her old computer was adequate for normal school work, but when it came to Maya and some of the other animation programs, it really struggled. The Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop has the horsepower to run these programs (and especially the rendering) with no problem. Very happy with this purchase.
