> 3 dayI did a lot of research and found this was the perfect laptop for what I needed. I was excited to order it and see how great it would be. The day came when it got delivered. I opened it up, plugged it in. It is way bigger and bulkier than i thought it would be. I turn it on and immediately there is a big noticeable light bleed spot on the bottom left of the screen. Annoying, but only noticeable on darker colors. (I reached out to support, but apparently it didnt warrant a repair or replacement)

> 3 dayGreat for pretty much anything you could want to do. Windows 11 capable and Acer is the best brand out there. I had other predator models as well and there isnt a brand out there that can deliver like acer can.

Greater than one weekIve been using SolidWorks for 22 years. The only thing I dont like about all the new PCs is that these only have a few ports. My old laptop (bought in 2008) had a read write disk with blue ray, all the ports for any cards one would need. While this PC supports 4 monitors it only has ports for 2 additional monitors (pretty damn dumb). I had to buy a USB-C 7 port multifunctional converter (from QGeekM) and a cable adapter for one of my 3rd monitor. Once I got it setup I do like it though.

> 3 dayWell for starters this device is great , well except for thermal performence . When im gaming this laptop run over 90c . So at this level of heat it is very uncomfortable (painful) to touch the upper part of the laptop . And mostly the cpu is the one gives you most troubles with heat. So only solution so far i found was to use throttlestop software to turn off turbo boost of the cpu and then the laptop runs even the hardcore games at around 70c. But im pretty bummed about that because as you can see one of the most famous marketing point about this laptop is its so called 4th gen aero blade fans . And even when i turn on the max fan mode it doesnt reduce much heat when gaming (or heavy work). Mostly you can expect is one or two degrees of temperature difference.

> 3 dayI paid for a brand new laptop but the screen wouldn’t turn on even though the keyboard lit up. After a couple reboots it turned on, we went through the setup but after about 10 minutes the screen pixelated like someone had punched it and then went black. I called the help line and they said”that’s not normal.” Since the warranty only covers repairs I had to return it. Since it was a bday present this whole experience made for a pretty crappy birthday. Never again will I purchase an Acer.
