This machine works great. It runs nearly 95C in any moderately demanding game though. After about 10 months the fan has started to grind. Not happy about that.

Pefect gaming laptop fast

I bought this as a replacement for my sons HP laptop which finally died after 4 years of use. He has had this one for 5 months now, and as of last night, it is a paper weight. the power cord is no longer making contact (or is possibly shorting out internally as I have found several other cases online). in addition to this, the one hinge point has cracked, and it has lost 2 keys off of the keyboard. Now I realize that he has not taken the best care of this laptop, but he has not significantly abused it worse than the old HP, so I am really disappointed in how this laptop has held up.

Been out of the PC gaming scene for a while, so decided to get back into it with this. I love it. Runs everything right now on Ultra, boots fast. Has somewhat small SSD storage but is very easy to install an additional drive for $100 or so. Would highly recommend. Havent had any issues and the screen is great quality.

Worng > The sound of the headphones of the device is very bad and unacceptable.

I bought this laptop 2 years ago and upgraded the ram from 16 gbs to 32 gbs also added a total of 3 tbs of storage (x2 ssd/x1hdd) and the only issues that ive had with that time span was the gpu quit working and had to replace that after the first year. And about the only other issue would be if you are gaming using your keyboard the letters rubbed off and even wore a hole in one of the buttons as shown in the picture. But hell after 2 years thats honestly really good. The ram upgrade and storage upgrades i purchased will be listed below..Im pleased with my purchase and probably will upgrade to the 2021 version later this year hopefully the keyboard doesnt wear like this one did but I can live with it.

A few serious issues with this laptop. First thing, fresh out of the box, after pressing the power button, this particular laptop did not boot. It was stuck, with the Acer predator logo on the screen for 15 minutes. It booted after turning it off and on again. This problem persisted for the entire two months I used this laptop. 100% of the time I would always have to power on, off, then on again for it to boot. Secondly, this laptop claims to have superior fan cooling technology. It is laughable at best. THIS LAPTOP RUNS EXTREMELY HOT!!!!! Under normal gameplay, GTA V at lowest possible graphics settings, the cpu would run in excess of 75 degrees Celsius with the fan speeds on 100%. On medium graphics settings GTA V would run the cpu at 85 degrees Celsius. I would definitely not recommend this laptop to anyone.
