Cant say much about the cpu since the screen already looks damaged from the start.

I went to the Acer Helios website to see if it was just me, and it sure isnt. This computer freezes a LOT during bootup. I bought it brand new and for whatever reason, 1 out of every 2 times that I try to power it on, itll just freeze on the boot up screen forcing me to do a hard reset.

Overall impression its a great mid range laptop for the money. Highly recommend that you upgrade to 32G of ram first and foremost. Secondly I added a 2tb Samsung SSD along with another 2TB Samsung M.2 Drive. Laptop has connectors for the additional ssd slot along with one open m.2 slot. The laptop comes with 16g ( 2 x 8 ) so I ended up buying 2 x 16 crucial 3200 for a easy going price. Great PC, make sure you get yourself a cooling pad and you wont need to worry. Great build, CPU GPU.

My son has a nice decent gaming rig, He always wants to play games with me, but I dont use a PC so we cant play anything together. I got this and not only is it fast, it runs games better than his full sized pc can. screen is nice, graphics crips and gets really good framerates in the games we play. I personally do not try to ultra out anything graphics wise and always opt for best quality to performance ratio. This has worked amazingly so far. Battery life is decent for a laptop.

Best deal for a gaming laptop super fast and there is turbo mode on it i love it . It even comes with a carrying case and screen protector. I love how they package it very professional. I was expecting a lot admittedly when I replaced my Acer Spin 3 for the Acer Predator as I needed power to easily operate Adobe Software and play the occasional game without issues so I was willing to give up a touchscreen and a fingerprint reader. I am a graphic designer and I consulted with my tech-savvy brother and he narrowed it down to the Predator and another computer when I explained power-wise what I needed. Part of me wishes I had chosen the other computer to see if it would be more reliable.

This thing packs a serious punch. It has handled everything Ive thrown at it without issue. I honestly have no complaints at all.
