I had an Acer display once and it was terrible. The quality, the brand identity was not there at all, but this was long ago. Now high frame rate gaming has come to play and Acer seems to be one of the reliable choices on the market (due to its close relationship with Nvidia I suppose). Anyway Id looked into pretty much everything on the market before I bought this. I wish I could go for the dream setup 4K + 144+hz but I think its a little early for that if you dont have so much to spare. 1440p 144hz ips is suffice to get a decent gaming experience with a quality panel which is usually used for displaying more accurate colors than other panel variants . -Overall Design Predator logotype on monitor may please some gaming enthusiasts but as a designer I know it could be better .The red outline (the glow effect) perhaps a little too much but overall its slick design can easily match with Dells manufacturing quality at least for the visible part. The stand has the same red accent color on the tips of the feet and entire thing looks like phoenix persons foot. its quite sturdy and I modified it to use for another display, since Ive been using wall mount for Acer. The reason I had to modify the stand for another Vesa display is because the stands metal panel has two pieces sticking out for the original display to be latched on. Bending it with pliers was quite easy though and since it remains behind the monitor it doesnt need to be perfect. No dead pixels which is great, I cant begin to imagine the frustration to deal with that conversations and shipping back and forth if it had any. Luckily I had none. The menu buttons are okay, some say its not the best experience and I do agree but theyre fine, no issues so far. It comes with Gsync sticker on it though that must be optional. Picture quality, brightness, pixel density are well balanced for a gaming monitor, people who want more may consider other options to get 4k 144 or better which is available but quite an investment for a gamer-soul. -Performance Tested on COD Warzone with RTX 2060S and its so much better than my previous setup (60 hz ips 1080p + older GPU). I wonder whether its significantly better for people who have 120hz monitor because although I get 144 it drops down to 70-120 when I play full res. Lowering resolution does bring it back to higher frame rates for sure but playing 1080p on a 1440p display is just upsetting. That being said I think having constant 144hz is not an easy task if not impossible. Conclusion: Its an IPS 1440P 144hz monitor with full Gsync, so its a no brainer if you have the right hardware. There is not much on the market right now which can give you all of these options. .

I had a hard time finding a single monitor that could fit the needs of both working from home and gaming, but this one seems to do it! For work, I wanted 4K pixel density, easily accessible USB ports for webcam and drives, built in speakers for calls and notifications, and a one cable connection (USB C). For gaming, I just needed something 120hz+ at at least 1440p. The monitor came color calibrated, has ambient light detection for auto brightness control (trends too dim, but helpful), has a proximity sensor to detect when to sleep if you step away - to save power. For work, 4k text clarity at 28 is incredible (macro shot of text attached), viewing angles are wide, colors are accurate. The speakers are poor for anything other than hearing notifications, or for video calls - better than none! At the end of day, I shut down my work computer and the monitor auto-detects my personal PC and switches over. For gaming, its Gsync compatible, has HDMI 2.1 for consoles and DP input, 144hz, and looks great at any resolution. Max brightness setting on the monitor needs to be enabled for my gaming PC, and that gets more than bright enough. The stand is very flexible, I like that it rotates so easily at the base. Tilt and height adjustable. Portrait or landscape! My suggestions for improvement: remove gamer aesthetic branding from the front. Replace the individual buttons with a joystick - its very difficult to know what youre pressing, and hard to change volume or input.

This is a great monitor and the value for the picture quality is amazing. The only issue Ive had with it was I was getting absolutely no picture from it one day. Was troubleshooting the issue and to fix it I had to unplug the monitor power cable and plug it back in. Then it worked fine. I have only had to do that once since owning the monitor and I would buy it again unless there is a less expensive option out there. Overall very happy with the product.

This monitor is a great upgrade from my previous 1080 60hz Westinghouse. There are a few downsides I came across though. One being, the display port is short, I recommend buying another longer one somewhere. Another issue with the included display port, the head/connector plastic pieces are vertically large, so with a PC with a slightly obstructed connector path, itll be a huge issue. The last being sound, of course its not a TV, so the built-in sound is albeit lacking. I suggest a good pair of speakers or just use headphones. Other then that, its a pretty good monitor.

Pros: -Colors pop without over-saturation -Sharp -4K @ 144Hz -Quick response time Cons: -HDR implementation is one of the worst Ive experienced -Anything below HDR 600 is a waste of resources, this monitor uses HDR 400 -If you turn off HDR, the screen is actually quite bright. But once you turn HDR on, even at 418 nits, youll eventually have to crank your brightness settings via your GPU Overall: I use this monitor mainly for work now and light gaming. I have a RTX 4090 and its more than powerful enough to game at 4K, but even at 144Hz, the gaming experience just isnt as snappy. Plus the SDR color representation of this screen is so so. Its like they shouldve implemented HDR 600 to make it even worthy of a viable option to use. Other than that, the SDR experience for work productivity is fantastic. I do have buyers remorse though. This was quite pricey for a 4K monitor that knocks it out of the park with SDR but does very so so when flipping on HDR.

i don’t know if it’s just the way i plugged it up, but the screen glitches out sometimes and shows bugs bunny even though i have never searched it up. also turned off deep sleep but i still can’t get it to turn on when i turn on my computer, i have to turn off the monitor and then turn it back on.

Ive had this for a few weeks now and have had no issues setting it up or gaming, picture looks amazing, but with 4K thats to be expected. Make sure you set up 144Hz in Windows. For some reason, I had to go in and manually set it up in the settings. The blacks arent as dark as I thought theyd be, but other than that I dont have any complaints.

Before I bought this monitor I remember playing on a high end rig at Fortress PC when I was a kid and Ive been searching to find out why it was such a buttery smooth experience playing on that machine. I thought it was the absurdly high end hardware of the machines but it wasnt just that, it was the monitor. Ive been gaming for over a decade and a half, PC gaming for about a half of that, and until I bought this monitor a few months ago its all been 1080p 60 Hz or less. The upgrade to 1440p 144 Hz was incredible. The clarity of 1440p is mind blowing and 144 Hz refresh rate nearly makes me erect (no shame). Playing games at 144 Hz like Overwatch or Fortnite is just something else and you need to see it to fully appreciate it. Is it worth all the money it costs to do it? If you can afford it absolutely. My shooting skills have gone up considerably with the increased refresh rate and quality. If you cant afford it just yet just wait, the prices will drop as technology advances in a few years this monitor may only cost $300. And all of that wasnt even including the awesomeness that is Gsync. Gsync is Vsync but on drugs. It matches your refresh rate of your monitor and gpu so that what you see is what is actually happening without any input lag that you normally get with Vsync. I hope the cost of Gsync goes down in the future but even now I think its worth it because playing less optimized or intense games like Hunt: Showdown, where I get 45 fps the game still FEELS and looks like it runs at 60 fps and that increases the quality of games immeasurably. Even if you cant run 1440p 144 Hz yet with your computer hardware this monitor is a good investment because those games you cant get high framerates will feel so much better. If you cant afford the 1440p 144 Hz version, I still highly recommend the 1080p 144 Hz version because the framerate and Gsync are what make this monitor so good, and why I cant go back to sub 100 fps monitors anymore. 10/10 would get aroused playing games again.

Ive read many reviews pointing out how the buyer received a faulty monitor and had to return, with some even saying that they received 2-3 faulty monitors before finally getting a working product. It may just be luck, but Im happy to report I have none of the problems that are mentioned in other reviews. I even expected a little back bleed and/or ips glow, knowing that both are common with IPS monitors, but was surprised to see that neither are a problem, and can honestly say that with my naked eyes I cant see any back bleed at all, even in a black screen with the brightness cranked. I must point out though that Ive only owned the monitor for about a month and a half, so time will tell if the quality will degrade or not. As for the monitor itself, it is without a doubt, the nicest monitor Ive ever owned. Coming from a 1080p TN panel, the jump in color/picture accuracy asking with the jump in resolution was instantly noticeable, and is still impressive close to 2 months later. I bought this monitor while playing through Blood and Wine, and the look of the new bloom in Touissant was at best annoying, at worst downright ugly on my 144hz 1080p BenQ monitor, when compared to the base game. I couldnt understand how anybody could think it was beautiful, and for some, more-so than the base game. But then I got this monitor. Holy hell I had no idea what I was missing. The beauty of that game is completely wasted on a TN panel, and 1080p for that matter. The same is true for every other game Ive tested since getting this monitor. Using DSR to scale up to higher resolutions can help image quality, but is nowhere near as good as the real thing, not even close. TL;DR - Bottom line: if you can afford it, stop thinking about it, but it. I cant speak for those who received a faulty product, but with a perfect condition monitor, theres no way you wont be impressed. Acer has always been key when gaming. I have nothing bad to say about this monitor. I have it on a vesa mount currently. There are 4 USB 3.0 ports on it which was a surprise because not many monitors these days have them. The color is great and even has a blue disabler in the menu to save your eyes in the long run. I have it overclocked at 165Hz currently. Worth every penny.
