I have this thing plugged into a VW Tiguan and a 2015 Ford F-350. It charges fast and the USB ports illuminate. I didnt give it 5 stars because once I plugged it in, it refused to come back out. I had to use pliers to keep my outlet housing from ripping out too as I pulled this thing out. The outlet remained active when my car was turned off, so I was worried it would drain my battery if I left it plugged in. It has two spring-loaded nubs on each side instead of the flat bands like older style plug ins.

All the marketing for this makes me feel good about the insides. Metal exterior is great and fits wonderfully all the way in the socket of the cigarette lighter in my vehicle.

Fits very tight In my outlet. Charges fast no problems so far.
