We have an existing Alexa system in our house and needed a few extra outlet plugs. These were a good price so we ordered them. Were pleased. Just make sure to keep the directions so you know how to integrate them with your system or else youll be lost. We had two extras and we marked the back with the APP name so would wouldnt forget when it is time to use them.

It was easy to set up once you connect the first one you will be able to easily connect the rest. One thing to remember if you first try to connect and get a message that says (Connection timed out Check demerit points and retry) that means that the directions about having the light have a rapid blink needs to be changed to have a slow blink before you try and reconnect. The rapid blink is set by default. To change to a slow blink go to the top right and select AP Mode. Once you change to a slow blink the rest is easy. I have not had any issues asking Alexa to turn on or off the light or by using the Alexa app to mange the lights around the home. I’m happy with the light plugs.

I couldnt connect plugs to Alexa...I tried two apps from the playstore and wasnt able to connect the plugs to Alexa. The tech from Amazon tried to help and was unsuccessful as well. I could activate but not connect the plugs. I want my money back!!!

The smart plug is nice and it works well with Alexa, it also says that it has voice control but it doesn’t give clear instructions on how to activate the voice option.

These smart wall plugs are fantastic. They are very easy to install and work reliably. They integrate with the smart life app seamlessly, making it very convenient to use; they will also work with the proprietary Gosund app, but the flexibility is definitely a plus. I have tried a few smart plugs, and these are among the most reliable ones I have used so far; they look and feel almost identical to previous ones I’ve used, but just different branding. Pros: - Easy setup - Compatible with smart life app - Reliable - Easy to use - Very responsive Cons: - Bulky - Not on the cheaper side Overall, I would recommend these if you are looking for some entry level smart plugs; these have worked very well for me so far and I have had no problem setting them up and using them reliably.

I know there are different smart devices out there but I personally am a fan of the whole Amazon Alexa system. This plug worked absolutely wonderful with my Alexa set up/smart home. I like the fact that these are rated for more electricity flow than your standard plugs. I was needing a plug to put on a icemaker that I want to be able to turn the power off to remotely. This one works perfect for that. Was very easy to set up using the Gosund app. Once set up you can control your device plugged into this by the app or smart device. You can also set a timer on when it operates. Seems to be a good solid product. Recommended. Will definitely buy this one again.

quick update (5/13/22): I did more testing and it is not a 2.4GHz WiFi issue. Short review: it is all bad. Setting up the plug should have been simple in theory but in practice it took several attempts to get the plug to connect to their own app. Linking to Alexa seemed to work with on and off commands but was unresponsive for a timed on/off routine. Finally there have been frequent communication disconnects such that their own app didnt work. This required deleting the device and starting all over again. After a half dozen of these events, I gave up. Part of the issue may be that the plugs are 2.4GHz WIFI devices only? Regardless, Im done trying. There are a lot of Alexa compatible plugs that do work reliably (I have a couple of brands) so Id recommend looking at other products. The experiences Ive had may be unique to me but I dont think it is worth your effort to find out.
