Well worth the price

Replaced a broken motherboard and intel i7 gen 1 processor with this combination. Re-installed my hard drive which had windows 10, and to my surprise, it booted up fine and all my programs were still available and functional. Even re-used my old Nvidia graphics card. So far Im very impressed. Half the cost of Intel equivalent processor.

Bought for a home office machine (with some limited gaming). Didn’t catch that there was no integrated graphics onboard so had to add a graphics card that I hadn’t priced in. The computer is screaming fast (paired with an SSD as main storage.)

I like this CPU, but I had to replace it as it did not work in the ASUS B450-f motherboard very well.

Every day use and some gaming.Worked right out of the box. Easy to install. Pay attention to the orientation of the fan when installing on CPU!!!

The first chip I recieved was toast. It was brand new in the box. Had a replacment sent out NEXT DAY :) and the second one worked! It performs well and Im happy. Upgraded from a ryzen3 2200g quite a noticable difference.

Nice to see AMD is back in the CPU fight. Great bang for the buck. Only thing is that is is the second generation of the first Ryzen chip set. Expect Ryzen 2 out soon - within a year or so of this writing. And not all AMD Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready motherboards are, or if they are, you need to update the BIOS first. The only thing that is both a pro and a con is the thermal paste on the included fan. It is already on the fan heat sink, and so it is easy to get your fingers in it if you dont expect it. It also means you dont have to worry if you got enough of the stuff on the CPU, and if it is spread properly.

Its been over a year and Ive never had a problem. AMD knocked it out of the park.
