When I first got the CPU then began to install it on my b450 board it became apparent to me that I should flash the BIOS to the most recent drivers with my old CPU THEN installed it and ta-da! It worked a good all-around cpu.

Older games (Skyrim, Fallout 4) worked great at 1080p, but the system I built with this is for audio production so graphics was secondary. Threw in a b550 gigabyte board with 32g ram and cooks my tracks to perfection without heating up the room. Stock cooler works perfect and quietly, keeping my temps below 65c inside a moderately vented rack case.
