Bought to replace a 2600G which Microsoft would not allow me to upgrade to Windows 11 on, this 5600G was a straight switch into the motherboard (with a simple Bios update). Solved the Windows 11 problem and meant a significant increase in performance.

Great CPU for budget minded pc builders who cant afford a graphics card or just want something for light gaming. Use caution when purchasing a motherboard for this processor, some may need a bios upgrade to allow you to use it.
