> 3 dayThe CPU I got was a dud that failed when above 70 degrees Celsius, on stock settings with the stock cooler, and I had to return it. Ideally AMD would have properly stress-tested the CPU. I had to get a 5800X to replace this without turnaround, which wasnt ideal considering its price-to-performance vis-a-vis the 5600X and 5900X, and the i7-11700K.

> 3 dayI never realized how much a 1700x hamstrung a RX5700 XT video card on a x370 prime with 32 gb of 3200 ram until I dropped in this 5600x. The speed increase is just amazing. Passmark went from 68 to 97

> 3 dayI had to update the BIOS via BIOS flashback for the 5600X to work but after that everything went smoothly. The performance has been very good compared to my 3600. The temps top out at 72 degrees when running Prime95. The only thing that bothers me about this CPU is the price. It looks like AMD has increased prices around the board this generation.

> 3 dayusing with a 3070ti and it works like a dream. Gets a bit hot so a good cooler is probably worthwile
