AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Processor with Wraith Spire LED Cooler - YD2700BBAFBOX

I was using X99 Asus Pro motherboard with high end Intel i7 and using Linux its a nightmare with compatibility issues everywhere (motherboard uses non standard hardware). Just to buy another X99 motherboard for socked 2011-v3 that is compatible with Linux would cost more then a new motherboard with Ryzen 7 2700 and ddr4 ram combined. Just this old 5th gen Intel i7 CPU cost around $400 (in 2019?).

Buy it if you are into video editing etc.It is better in editing than i7 9700k as it has got 16 threads as compared to 8 threads of i7.For gaming also it is not a bad option

Caught this on sale for $225 and couldnt pass it up. I combined it with a x470 motherboard, 16g of memory and a 512g C: drive as well as a RX 580 that I already had and I couldnt be happier. It is much faster than the fx-8300 that it replaced. I got about 10fps more on games which tells my my old 8300 was bottlenecking my graphics card. It also flies through handbrake and compresses video quite noticeably faster than my old 8 core. And it manages to do this with a 65 watt power usage on the cpu. AMD knocked it out of the park with this cpu and its only going to get better next year when they transition to 7nm. Guess Ill be rebuilding my other computer when this happens.

É excelente. Funciona muito bem para qualquer jogo com muita exigência de processamento de imagem de alta definição. Classifiquei calor com 4, assim como classificaria qualquer outro. É da natureza do processador aquecer. Mas funciona dentro da temperatura normal e o cooler que vem junto, da própria AMD, incluído na compra dos processadores Ryzen é excelente. Como comprei muito antes da alta do dólar americano, foi caro, mas não tão caro quanto estão os componentes eletrônicos em 2021.

I have an all AMD system. Mother board, Graphics card memory and CPU. It will crash for no reason whatsoever. I cannot even read email with it! It will work for a day or two and then it will crash and hang three times the next day. Extremely frustrating! I thought that if I bought all the components from one manufacturer that they would work together. NOT.
