> 24 hourI was a late to the Ryzen game. AMD has always offered solid performance and lower price points. Coincidentally after getting there buts kicked by intel for the last 10 years they launched RYZEN, now Intel is scrambling with tired core I architectures. Pretty much AMD beats intel at low, mid and high end computing. The Threadeipper is the top end king, the 5,7, 9 series are gray for low to hi. Obviously the is the mid range. I replaced a aging phenomen II x6. I wanted an incremental jump which is what I got and then some. Wanting to see how this handles virtualization but certain I won’t be disappointed. This is a great CPU at the $250 range. 8 cores. I haven’t tested on heavy hitters like Skyrim, but plays max setting Starcraft like a boss.
