AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I had a Ryzen 5 2400G, which I bought as a starter CPU until I could pair it with a graphics card. I put a GTX 1660, and waited until I could upgrade CPU.

Initially, I received one where the box was seemingly sealed. Opened it up and tried to place it on the motherboard and found it didnt sit properly. Upon closer inspection, the pins were bent. Extremely disapponted at this point as my son was really excited about building the PC. Also found it odd that the pins could be bent when it arrived in a sealed box. Although, I did also find it strange that the little wee Ryzen sticker that comes with the CPU was missing. Perhaps, it was an opened box after all and Amazon didnt bother checking their returns and passing it straight to the next customer, which is very common.

the cooler it comes with could be better but for the price i really shouldnt complain it also is down fire which could help with keeping Mother board VRMs cool. but the cpu is a monster!

Its quite CPU for price and doesnt eat alot of watts from power supply (170 wat only} unlike I7 that needs (200+ watt) so 550W power supply enough to power this rocket

Probably the best cpu Ive owned, delivers what you need to get the best in vr and in 4k gamming. Definitely recommend.

Montato su una Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570 e , come da descrizione del prodotto, possiede 8 core e 16 thread: funziona tutto bene. Ricordatevi di comprare però, se non ne avete, una scheda video dato che il processore non ne ha una integrata; cosa che credo contribuisca al suo consumo più ridotto (65W dichiarati) rispetto ai processori della stessa fascia Intel (Di certo se scegliamo processori di questa fascia abbiamo già in mente di potenziare il tutto con una scheda ben più potente e dedicata).

its 8 cores 16 threads and boosts to 4375 on 4 of the cores all stock, runs hotter than my 2600 did but thats with 2 more cores and higher clocks. its literally over 50% faster in multi-core and lowest frame times are on average 25% plus higher. very happy with the upgrade. Also works on my gigabyte x470 gaming ultra after upgrading the bios with no problems.
