AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

IDK, I have this in a folding rig. Does 300k a day. Not really worth it for folding when you consider that a $400 GPU can do 1 million.

Ce cpu est un monstre de puissance ! A laise dans tout, il ne déçoit pas. Cela fait vraiment plaisir de voir AMD sortir daussi bon cpu. Pour refroidissement jai opté pour un Dark Rock Pro 4 qui est nettement plus performant et silencieux que le gadget fourni avec le processeur.

Performs as well (Id say better) as Intels 9900k for significantly less money... Benchmarks off the charts = 99th percentile !

Ottimo processore per grafica (ovviamente sarebbe del tutto sprecato ed inutile per un uso normale, tipo email o ricerchina internet). Con un po di titubanza ho usato il dissipatore allegato nella confezione -che molti sconsigliano- ma a distanza di un mese e con programmi impegnativi di grafica (ma non giochi) non ho notato le temperature estreme di cui molti parlano (magari sarà perché uso un case ampio e ben ventilato o perché è inverno...). Ho invece cambiato la pasta termica perché quella preapplicata fa effettivamente venire molti dubbi.

AMD you killed it. I did my research for months and waited and glad I made the right decision. While Intel has been in front in the past, thing are definitely changing now that these new processors are out in the market. Whatever you throw at it, heaving AAA games, 4K editing, or simple but multiple tasks and it just outperforms. It also has good support for those that are new to the PC or gaming PC world. The temps are so stable, it doesnt even seem like its on. Of course I partnered it with a great MB and CPU cooler and GPU and case, but it can and will perform for many years to come. INTEL who? Im glad theres another option available and so far its my only option.

It runs pretty hot with the stock Prism cooler. Would recommend swapping for something else as I did. Did some temp testing with 3D mark and would get temps in the very high 80s and sometimes low 90s. With the cooler I swapped it with it dropped temps down 10-12 degrees C. Other than the temps this chip runs like a beast. Glad to have made the switch to team red!!!

EDIT : Jai bien reçu le remboursement Amazon et de tous mes composants (Carte mère + Ventirad) qui allaient avec. Je rajoute donc 2 étoiles au produit pour le service Amazon parfait. On a beau dire quAmazon gagne trop dargent en tant que GAFA mais cest une entreprise extrêmement sérieuse et respectueuse de ses clients, même tout petits comme moi. Bref, un grand merci pour le traitement parfait de mes retours !
