> 3 dayTook me a few minutes longer than Id like to get the 165hz activated in the control panel, but its buttery smooth. The downside here is the PPI, it is a 1080p monitor on a 27 inch panel. But I hardly notice and the refresh rate is amazing. I highly recommend.

Greater than one weekExtremely good value for the money. My older 60hz monitor couldnt keep up with the competitive nature of the games I play. The fast refresh rate have improved my gameplay experiences tremendously. My first curved monitor so wasnt sure if I would like the curved screen. I definitely do, it more naturally adapts to my field of view and improves immersion and focus. The only bad thing I can say is that the first monitor I ordered had a pencil line of dead pixels on the right most part of the screen. Well I gave that monitor to a friend who needed it for work and ordered another one. 2nd time was the charm. In case some people were wondering... AOPEN is manufactured by Acer. If you have a monitor with dead pixels- RETURN to AMAZON DONT GO THRU WARRANTY PROCESS. I hear they will not cover dead pixels as some dead pixels they dont consider to be a defect.

> 3 dayIn case anybody is curious about this monitor. There isnt a lot of information online about it. Fire Legend: Big and not too expensive. Got mine for 438 with tax and prime shipping. Its not listed anywhere but its gsync compatible. Also not listed anywhere it has 2 levels of motion blur reduction with the backlight strobe. Also not listed anywhere (seeing a pattern here) it has a form of local dimming when HDR is activated. There is about 16-20 vertical zones. On an all black background you can see each zone light up as you move the mouse. Coming from a monitor that is a level below HDR400, I thought that was pretty cool. Also not listed anywhere you can enable 10 bit color at 144hz in the Nvidia control panel. I see no difference between 8 and 10 bit, but maybe somebody will find that info useful. I feel like this has a better contrast ratio than most IPS panels Ive seen lately. I have no way of measuring this. It just looks really nice. HDR actually looks like its doing something in BFV and Doom Eternal. No dead pixels so far. Back light bleed exists but its not terrible. Fyre Festival: Motion blur reduction dims screen too much on its most aggressive setting making it almost useless. There is a medium setting that is brighter but less crisp. Cant use it with Gsync enabled. Not the fastest panel out there. Using blur busters UFO test its not as clear as the 200hz 30inch MSI ultrawide this is replacing. Its not terrible, Ive just seen faster. The stand sucks. The monitor isnt level after mounting it to the stand. Confirmed this with my bubble level. I put a little felt adhesive circle under the right side monitor base and it sits perfectly level now. Such a stupid problem to have when everything else is really good. **UPDATE April 6th 2023** While I still enjoy using the monitor a few issues have popped up. Sometimes one of the dimming zones sometimes gets stuck. So if your using HDR than there will be one vertical zone that is dark while the others are lit. It looks as bad as it sounds. The other issue is that sometimes the monitor will crash and you have to completely power it off or wait for it to recover to get video again. These issues are VERY intermittent but they are a PITA when they do happen. Knocking off a star for now.

Greater than one weekWasnt sure if Id like curved monitors to be frank. But Ill have to admit these are beautiful. I bought these to replace the poor choice in monitors that I purchased from Amazon recently. The flicker on those things was down right nauseating yet the manufacturer proclaimed them to be gaming monitors. Anywho, what a blessing these have turned out to be not even one day in. If that changes Ill be sure to update this.

16-12-2024This is the first gaming monitor I’ve had, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I was nervous to buy one because a lot of reviews on other ones say “they’re great of you know how to tinker with the settings”. From the day I turned this one on, I haven’t had to touch the settings and it’s been awesome, especially for the price, this one is hard to beat.

> 3 dayI cant believe how well this monitor works! I simply unpacked it, hooked it up and didnt have to really adjust anything. Switching to 165 hz wasnt too hard to figure out if you go thru the windows display settings. This is the most color accurate monitor I have even used at any price point from the screens I have seen in person. I am switching from a Samsung 27 inch curved display so I am used to the size but this screen is so much sharper and the fact it has display port is great! The package includes one HDMI cord and one Display Port cord which I wished I checked before I bought a DP cable. 5/5 - Would highly recommend!
