> 3 dayI got this mainly because it was one of the thinner units that had 8 plugs. For me this was important because I wanted it fit in the cable organizing tray on a sit-stand desk. It does so wonderfully and I havent had any issues in the short time Ive used it. Its currently powering a PC, monitor, bookshelf speakers, desk lamp, and a few usb chargers.

> 3 dayI have to have surge protectors with the on/off buttons because my apartment is so old. I have to have one at nearly every outlet. They work great.

> 3 dayI like that it is nice looking, works as it is supposed to, and has enough outlets for me to plug in appliances without having to unplug others.

> 3 dayReasonable number of outlets in a compact form factor, with USB charger ports too. Nice thin form factor too. Only down-side is that the LEDs are *bright*. You could use them as a night light in a bedroom, or cover them with electrical tape to black them out. In my home office its not an issue, but something to know about in a dorm room, etc.

> 3 dayIts hard to get excited about a power strip- but when they designed this one, the engineers at APC hit it out of the park! I love how the wall warts (those odd klunky AC/DC power adapters that so many devices come with nowadays) have their own spot on this unit, and do not block out the remaining plugs that regular AC power cords (3 prong grounded) require. This is VERY important! Most of the competition has you forfeiting one or more plug locations when a wall wart blocks you out! There are on/off status lights (green means OK) and and on/off SWITCH. For the modest and reasonable cost, you get great surge protection. I have used APC products for many years, particularly fond of their backup UPS power supplies. I plan to buy more of this model for my apartment. The quality is there, a nice heavy line cord to connect to the AC power, and better-than-average build quality. Slick!

> 3 dayI got a new iMac and wanted to use my old Mac Pro tower for music recording. I wanted something small to plug a number of things into, including my Mac. This was the perfect fit. Does the job and has a small footprint.

Greater than one weekI have a kitchen area that hosts all my appliances; a mixer, a high end coffee grinder, microwave, toaster oven. Total its about 1k of appliances, and the power strip it was plugged in was so old you couldnt tell if its yellow because the plastic was originally ivory colored or because it was 20 years old. I work in IT and I dont skimp on power surge protectors; 15% of surges sneak right past your house level surge protection, and can kick in not only due to lightning strikes but minor changes in current, like nearby electricity use, appliances that kick on and off, etc. All you know is 3 years later your toaster stops working. Most of these cheap surge protectors on the market are glorified extension cables. I trust the brand, they havent let me down so far.

> 3 dayThe surge protector works just as intended, the design is very functional. One negative about is that the switch can be turned off VERY EASILY. You have to be careful to not turn it off accidentally. Otherwise its a well made surge protector.

Greater than one weekGets a little bright, but its a solid surge protector with plenty of outlets (8) for TV, consoles, sound system, etc. Plenty of protection with 2000+ joules.
