I have it in the same room as the usb hub. It’s good signal . So far the plug is big so 2 won’t fit. So I have to use a different brand smart plug in the other outlet so I can have use of 2 smart plugs. I can see improvements if you were to design them to make 2 fit in one receptacle. And also designing a 16A smart plug to be able to use a bit more watts would be great too. But It’s working great with ifttt and the temperature sensor too but temp sensor could be a bit more durable. When it accidentally drops the appliances goes crazy and they all turn on and the temperature be way off for a while. Anyway, I notice one great feature is we can set a watt limit , so if we don’t want whatever is plugged up to go over a certain amount of watts then the plug will power off if it does. And the count down timer is way awesome too. I’m new to Aqara’s products but so far so good. Most of all I’m glad temp sensor is accurate unlike some other competitors sensors I’ve been using.

I really love all the Smart Home Products from Aqara, they work very with Apple HomeKit , and of course Google Home , and yes of course Alexa also.

This is an overall decent device. Easy to use, and can be connected to a DIY Zigbee network and integrated into Home Assistant very easily. It is annoying that the bulk is vertical not horizontal thus you can only use one in an outlet, but that is minor. The real problem with this plug which in my opinion makes it completely useless is that it does not remember its previous state after power loss! I bought three of these to monitor power usage on my office PC, as well as components in my network rack. It was working well until a typical Florida Flicker where the power went out for a few seconds. All three of these plugs stayed off after power was restored until I physically went to each one and pressed the button to turn them on again. Thinking this might be one of those devices where you just need to use the app to affect this setting, I removed one of them from my zigbee network and paired it with an Aqara hub and added it to the Aqara Home app. Went into settings, and nope, no option for power on state or power on memory at all.

This is my 2nd Aqara plug. They work quite well, and require a hub for all that intelligent lazy voice control. I can’t speak for the Alexa or google integration, as I use HomeKit, but it works flawlessly with HomeKit. This one is controlling 3 humidifiers in my bedroom. Syncs up easily with the hub. I have the hub on the opposite end of the house on a different floor, and it still maintains a strong zigbee connection. Responds well, very short delay between voice command and response. Only wish they were a bit smaller, so I could have two in one outlet.

This has changed my life. Lights are all in HomeKit now and come on a timer. It’s the little things in life that make you happy and this is one of them. Product looks great and was one of the easiest things I’ve ever set up (I didn’t install, but I did pair 6 switches to the hub).

Love this smart plug! With Aqara’s updated M1S or M2 hub, this plug is extremely reliable. I used to do all of my home automation in HomeKit, but the Aqara automation is much faster, so when I’m controlling an Aqara device with another Aqara device I now create the automation routine in the Aqara app.

We live in an older home with all of our lights integrated into our electrical system and all of our fans on the ceiling. I realized after we purchased this that we didnt have much use for this plug in the traditional sense - no traditional fans, no lamps, no hidden sockets.... I also realized that all of our devices that this could be convenient for (electric kettle, dyson fan, etc) require more than just a power on/off to start. Ultimately, because this was so affordable and we are bad at returning items, we decided to use this on the powerstrip that houses all of our electronic devices and chargers. Essentially we are using it to save on electricity and eliminate phantom power in our home. While this may not be absolutely necessary, it has made it easy to turn off the power to the power strip at any point during the day and doesnt require us to remember before we leave the house. Baby steps to saving the environment.
