> 24 hourI work on computers every day. Heres what you need to know about thermal compounds such as this. This isnt the best one out there but it sure is close especially for the price. The best is probably liquid metal but you probably dont want to use it unless you really know what you are doing. Thats not just a spread it and forget it. I use Kryonaut on my own systems because its very slightly better and I want the best for my own but the expense isnt really worth the 1 to 3 degree difference. Those 1 to 3 degrees are if you spread them properly too. This is easy to apply. Its much easier to get it to spread properly over the very thick kryonaut. Spread it thin. The pea method is good for most. When you tighten the cooler down it will spread it out very thinly. The problem is most people cant really guess the size of a pea. Theres nothing wrong with spreading it out thinly with a credit card then do your best to clamp the cooler straight down. Try to twist the cooler back and forth gently to work out any air bubbles. Aside from that both this and kryonaut are non-conductive (as opposed to ones like liquid metal or Arctic Silver). If you accidentally drop a drop on your motherboard it wont fry it out. There are more videos on youtube about how to use these than anyone needs but be sure to watch one from a reputable source. My advice is a paper thin layer is best no matter which method you use. This particular paste is one of the best so I strongly recommend it.
