> 3 dayRecently replaced liquid CPU cooler because pump died on original unit. At install I used the stock compound that came with the new unit. CPU was running 30°F warmer than previous cooler so I thought this cooler was inferior. Removed and reinstalled with MX-4 and it performed as well as previous cooler. VERY clear difference in performance. I would have been sceptical of claims there was this much difference if I hadnt seen it myself. This stuff not only works, it works better!

> 3 dayI bought the ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste for my old Asus X54C laptop from 2012 which I am still having to use daily. Idle temperatures were 55-58°C, while the temperature under 100% load during video encoding was 99°C. After application of the ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste, and cleaning of the radiator grill, the idle temperatures dropped to as low as 41°C, and temperature under 100% CPU load during video-encoding dropped to 74°C max! So I have achieved a temperature drop of 25-26°C under 100% CPU load - this is simply epic! For its price, nothing can beat the royal performance of the ARCTIC MX-4 - it is the absolute undisputed king!

> 3 dayFirst time using a spatula and it was very easy to spread. Thermal transfer has improved and resulted in 3-4 degrees lower compared to factory applied thermal grease on the AIO. Excellent performance!

> 3 dayI have an XPS 15 and I do not play games with it. I use it primarily for browsing the web and coding, so I am expecting it to be silent with no fans running. However, after 2 years from the time I applied ARCTIC silver 5, the laptop fans are running way too often than my liking. It must be time to re-apply the thermal compound.
