> 24 hourIve always been a Windows guy for PCs since Windows 3.0. Can you imagine that? And always Android since my first Motorola back in the day. This is my first dive into a Chromebook which I have been tempted to try for some time. I had been concerned about performance and the learning curve but a reason came up to give it a try.

> 24 hourIts very slow and will freeze up completely. When being used in laptop style certain angles will still cause the mouse pad and keyboard to lose function. Pretty disappointed, I guess the battery is decent

> 24 hourI purchased this Asus Chromebook to replace my failing HP. I chose it because I have mostly had good service from other Asus products. The backlit keyboard was another reason for choosing it. It has a big screen with relatively light weight and fair battery life. This seemed to be a nice Chromebook with decent performance at first, but it quickly became apparent that its performance was abysmal. This seems largely due to the Ryzen 3250C processor and the 4GB of RAM. Opening multiple tabs, especially with a couple of heavy pages, would quickly overload the system. Scrolling through a downloaded PDF was painful. Gaming would likely be a joke. The screen looks good and the keyboard is good. The touchscreen is okay, but I dont really use it. I never use the flip feature. I replaced it with a similar Asus using the i3-1215U and 8GB RAM. That one performs like this one should have.

> 24 hourI have now had this chromebook for 8 months and absoutley love it. With Chrome OS combined with the AMD RYZEN peocessor it is as fast as any windows with an i7. I also am a photographer and view lots of high res images and it has no problem at all. To be honest it preforms better than a windows computer with an i7. If you want a fast, simple, reliable everyday computer consider this.

> 24 hourI dont know what was wrong with my particular unit, but the sound was awful, full of static and rattling. Hopefully not typical of the product, but sound quality was the main reason for choosing this model.

> 24 hourReally nothing to say that I dislike about the CBook. Ive owned a number of them before. As I mentioned in the headline, the weight is heavier than I expected, but I dont carry it around all day. It does seem to hang up when I am on some sites, but that appears to be the site loading Adv. after Adv. while I am trying to read something. I am going to add an Ad-blocker to cut that delay back. Its a shame the advertisers are killing the golden goose(geese) by over-loading every page with more and more interruptions. The CBook is great for me.
