Laptop was quite expensive (2049USD) but I dont regret it. I bought an older alienware on clearance for 1400 and just thought I wasnt getting engine bang for the buck.

I bought this computer to use for graphic related processing. I have used it less than 10 times while still using my old computer and planned on implementing when I upgraded my computer area. I occasionally surfed the web and downloaded a few 3d related programs and went to start it one day and it came up with a black screen saying Please follow the steps below to recover your BIOS

Good laptops are hard to get a hold of, and this one was no different. Found it here and jumped on it for my son who is going into the ECE program and needed this level of performance.

Do not get this laptop if you wish to replace a typical desktop computer and use it with dual external monitors. Especially via the USB C port. I am constantly dealing with the computer entirely freezing up and losing HDMI signal. This occurs when doing absolutely nothing CPU/GPU intensive. Simply opening a Netflix tab will kill the monitor signal and the entire computer will become unresponsive for many minutes at a time, often requiring a hard restart.

This laptop is a beast. On Turbo it is loud, but on performance its quiet even if being pushed relatively hard. and if Asus Armoury Crate to be believed, the heat is fine. It is also CERTAINLY not hot. Compared to some real furnaces that would burn my hand Ive had in the past, this is nothing.

This laptop is a speed demon. I get 12550 on 3dmark and that’s stock out of the box. You can get as high as 14k if you overclock. The Intel cpu scores way higher than amd as well. They did awesome this generation. The only thing is I didn’t get a soft case like I see on many reviews. I am in the USA and got it from Amazon on Black Friday for 1600 usd. I used the saved money to buy a 64gb memory upgrade and bought a 2tb wd black 850x that scored 6900 read and 6700 write. That’s a great score since you never get as high as most advertise. The advertised speed is 7300. I have been using this laptop for 3 months and it hasn’t crashed yet.

Best gaming laptop for the money. This computer is an amazing value even with GPU prices dropping. This thing is more powerful as most desktops (14 cores!). Still very portable and useable for everyday things like work editing and gaming on the go. The only complaint I have is the battery life. Between the i9 CPU and the 125w 3070ti GPU this thing wont not last long when not plugged in. IMO it also looks a lot better once I had it in person compared to what I was expecting. If I could only have one computer in my life with out spending a ton of money I would hands down pick this laptop. I am very happy with my purchase so far.

The only thing I do not like about it, that sometimes it takes 3 or more times to get it to sleep

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 far exceeded my expectations, delivering the best performance and features I have ever seen in a laptop. The specs are simply tops with a Core i9-13980HX powering this beast of a machine that is trimmed out with 16GB of DDR5 RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, and incredibly, an NVidia GeForce RTX 4070 video card that alone is unbelievable in a laptop.

Compete at the highest level of Windows 11 gaming with the ROG Strix SCAR 15 gaming laptop. Take on any challenge with a powerful 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H CPU and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. ROG Intelligent Cooling lets the GPU crank all the way up to 150W of power and next gen DDR5 RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSD lets you spend less time waiting and more time playing or creating. Don’t worry about slow external transfer speeds or connecting to multiple displays with the Thunderbolt 4 port. With a competitive edge this sharp, you can dominate any arena.
