I’m an Asus guy. Not that, that’s all I use but, I tend to drift toward their products. This monitor, another fantastic product by them. It’s a 1080 monitor and it’s perfect for what I use it for. It’s a solid build and heavier that I expected. I’d say, it’s worth every penny. It helps that it does come with a display port but, having to manually switch between HDMI and Display Port does get a little annoying.

I actually own 3 of these...two that work, one that is broken that I sent back for warranty service. The monitor was mounted on my stand when I purchased it and had not been moved from there until I turned it on and the display was scrambled. I sent it to ASUS (RMA USDAN50820) and, in about 4 days got an email from them saying it had been received. A few days after that I received an email stating that they had discovered scratches on the bezel indicating user damage. The repair estimate totaled $300. I ordered another one (for $269) and asked that the original be returned to me. It is in transit and I will update this with photos when it arrives. They did send photos of the damage which are in a pdf format and I cant upload them here. The photos are extremely blurry and show nothing helpful. I am not a gamer, in fact I am a Nurse and do most of my charting from home. I work only on call and need a comfortable to look at monitor to use on my dual display. I often have to have multiple programs open at one time and use the dual display to make this more efficient. I will not purchase anything more from this company until they make good on their promise. Would I recommend these to anyone else? Not anyone I liked. This is not the end...just the end for now. I will have no problems steering anyone away from Asus.

I’ve been using this for 6 months now. The adaptor is a bit loose sometimes. And although not enough brightness for work sometimes, but since it’s anti-galore screen it can use a monitor bar light on top. Gaming is bright enough since I always do it in the dark.

DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR. I used this for a little over a year and the monitor caught fire while I was using it. It could have caught my whole house on fire if I hadn’t acted to quickly. Sent this complaint to the company’s customer support without any help at all. They wouldn’t replace the monitor with a new one, only wanted to replace it with another refurbished one or try to fix the fire hazard and send it back to me. Terrible product and even worse customer service

I received this product with a dead pixel in the bottom left of the screen. It was out of the way and doesn’t bother me so I didn’t make a big deal of it but it is a bit annoying paying this price for a product just to have a small defect right away out of the box. If it would have been in the middle of my screen this may have been much different as I’m pretty sure the warranty for this you must have 3 or more dead pixels for a return. Although, I am not positive on this. I just didn’t want to look into it. I love the quality and the features it has. You definitely won’t be disappointed with this monitor. The tilt and spin capabilities is awesome. You can adjust the height of the screen to your liking. The blue light filter is something I originally didn’t care about but now I find myself using it from time to time. The only other complaint I have is the set up of gsync/freesync. It is somewhat difficult to figure out and once I got it I was getting occasional flashes of a black screen. The only thing I wish this monitor had was easier compatibility with gsync and obviously no dead pixels. I understand dead pixels can happen on any monitor but seeing a black spec on your brand new screen is slightly disappointing.. that’s the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, I have no complaints and this is a great product!

I am not qualified at all to talk about the picture quality but I dont see any ugly motion blur or something so I think its a pretty good monitor especially when its on sale for like 169 bucks

Monitor has good, highly adjustable stand. Had 1 dead pixel in corner. Only problem is monitor settings are stuck through seven gamevisual presets with limited customizability. If u can turn that off somehow, then its great.

I bought the VG249Q to replace a defective Sceptre E255B-1658A. I originally only bought the Sceptre to replace a Asus VG279Q which was too large for my desktop setup. If I could have found the VG249Q a month ago I would have just gotten it. Its basically my old VG279Q with a smaller panel. Some cosmetic changes but otherwise identical. Same great IPS panel with great picture quality. I use it on my Xbox One X at 1080p@120hz with zero issues. Games look and run great. The adjustable stand is really nice as well. Only nitpick which doesnt really affect me it that it only has 1 hdmi input. Would be hard to gave multiple devices connected simultaneously.

The quality was really good and what expected. The only thing I noticed was this single red pixel. I don’t think it was dead pixel because it wasn’t white. It’s not noticeable unless you really look at it, but I am overall really happy with the monitor
