> 24 hourThis chip is pretty decent: its more than powerful enough. The issue is with the ram though. 4GB is NOT enough, you cant even run chrome, let alone anything bigger. You need to install another stick of 8GB ram (I got the crucial one, cost $30). But once you install the more ram, this machine is pretty sweet. I got it on sale for $200 ($250 after tax and ram upgrade), and for that price this is the best computer you could buy, hands down. Id wait for a sale before buying it. Battery life is eh, maybe 4 hours? Overall, pretty good computer for my needs and I hope I helped your purchasing decisions. One thing is clear, this will beat any chromebook under $1000 gauranteed. Have a great day!

> 24 hourThis is my second Asus laptop in the last 6 months. The first replaced a Dell which would no longer boot - said I needed a new copy of Window and contact the manufacturer. NO response from Dell. The machine in this review replaced a still functional HP which Ive been so-so about over the years (despite it having a top of the line processor when new and at, what I thought was a higher end machine (not a gaming machine, though). So, given my history and how the machine was used decided to give ASUS a try. Have been happy with it so far.

> 24 hourMy son needed a laptop for school and after doing some research, this machine looked like it had a great blend of features at a good price. Machine seemed to be working well when all of a sudden it would only boot into the BIOS and there were no bootable volumes found. So theres nothing we can do. Buying a new SSD and Windows license would cost more than the laptop so its a paper weight at this point. SUPER disappointed. First and last Asus computer. Go with a more reputable brand.

> 24 hourIncredibly slow out of the box - we’re talking 30+ seconds to load a web page and a 5 second lag time on scrolling. I bought this to work on BlackBoard and Google Drive. This thing can’t even handle that. Returning immediately.

> 24 hourAsus must have disabled the computers ability to detect a second SSD, rendering the internal empty bay useless. All advices on checking bios and disk management are not helpful, as fundamentally the SSD must be detected by the computer hardware in the first place.

> 24 hourThis is, without a doubt, the single worst laptop I’ve ever owned. I’m not sure why anyone in their right mind would pay $300 for this, let alone the $150 I paid on Black Friday. This computer cannot hold a charge and has a processor that moves at “public library desktop” speeds. The fingerprint scanner works less than half the time. Simple web pages stall out on fiber-optic WiFi. You’d be better off buying a refurbished Mac from 2014 or some cheap Chromebook. Truly cannot overstate how massive of a disappointment this technology has been.
