Band Of Brothers

(The Band Of Brothers is an amazing show, this review is for Amazon packing and shipping.) I don’t know if this was by accident or by design, but the image is clearly a box set that you pay extra for, but I received (image). Very disappointing and frustrating.

Purchased the Blue Ray version and was able to upload it to my Plex media server. Very reasonable price and of course Blue Ray is great. If you have never seen Band of Brothers and love military movies, especially WW II, this is the mini-series for you. Its like Saving Private Ryan, but provides more depth and detail.

Buy this please. It is a great review of WWII history and some very good review of important history. Bless these men and women who served.

LOVE this series, but how come NO CLOSED CAPTIONING???

Saw the original series on HBO and was impressed with the authenticity of the production, the acting, the historical accuracy and the realism of the scenes. Parts are not for the faint of heart but if one wishes to understand the how horrible and unforgettable war can be this is for you. Many scenes will be remembered long after viewing. The music is haunting and does not overwhelm the scenes as it does in so many other productions. Should be required viewing for all the WWII nuts out there.

This is one of the finest DVD collections I have ever watched. In fact I have watched it several times. I really enjoy it because I always think of my Dad when Im watching it.

This is an extremely well-done video, the way it’s written, acted, and filmed. When you see what these men went thru, you have to believe it was worth it. Every indication is that these real men, with real stories, did believe it was worth it. Men who were maimed, horrified, saw their closest friends killed, and nearly died themselves. These men felt it was worth it. Those killed, we can’t know for certain, but considering the heroic efforts of many, it seems obvious that they too believed it was worth it.
