Most monitors these days have flimsy plastic stands and seem to be of poor quality. This works perfectly w/my MacBook Pro, 4K resolution and Retina down-sizing make the text sharp and crisp. I use this mainly for work & programming so cannot comment too much on the colors, though they look good to me. Very solid monitor, the base is metal, USB-C works great. After several poor experiences trying to get monitors thatd look good on MacOS, this one made the cut.

I purchased this monitor after purchasing then returning an ASUS Proart 329c. That monitor came in with a broken USB-C port and dead pixels. The customer service is what led me to return the monitor. This monitor came in and the only defect is the AUX port. Anything plugged -in creates popping in the speakers. I just connect that to my MacBook. Other than that, the monitor is amazing. No dead pixels and a better value. In my experience, for less money you get more features and better quality, and that’s just including the hardware. The monitor wakes up faster and the rotation feels smooth. All in all, I’ve never tried BenQ products before but I am much happier and Will never try ASUS ever again.

Great monitor for the price! Very bright and when looking over creative and advertising stuff, they really pop. The base and mount are top-notch and allows for easy movement and rotation. I may purchase another.

I made the purchase of my monitor on the date of May 25, 2021 and the monitor has been a great upgrade from my old generic monitor, I can see color much more accurately and the area is very good I fell like I have lots of space to put all the panels for the tools and brushes and still have some nice area to work. However the this past days I have noticed a couple of things that have begun to bother me on the monitor, first it is the image burn-in issue. I have begun to notice that after working on software such as Photoshop for around 2 to 3 hours and then switching to another app for example to my web browser to change songs of a podcast I can see residual images of the Photoshop UI that show on the screen on areas that are of black or grey color. This issue is something I understand that is common on some LCD monitors, however I understand this is when the monitor has been on the same static image for long periods of time, for 20 hours or even more, but for there to be a very noticeable screen burn-in in just a few hours it does not seem normal to me. The second Issue is something I have noticed in just a couple days ago, on the left side of the screen I have noticed a small bright circular spot on the interior of the screen, I have cleaned the screen to be sure this is something being caused by an internal component, I disconnected the screen and cleaned it and used compressed air on the vents of the back side and then left the monitor on a soft towel on my desktop and then when I reconnected it the bright spot was gone, I did some research and it seem that this can be caused due to dust on the inside of the monitor or even due plastic lenses falling of due to them being unglued due to the use of the monitor. Once again this is an issue one would except to see on a monitor after some years of use not just some months. At the this past few delays I have been monitoring my monitor to see if the issues I spoke about persists or change after the cleaning and maintenance given to the monitor, it seems that the issue regarding the bright spot it no longer present however the screen burn-in is still a persistent issue. As mentioned before I have been incredibly happy with the monitor until this issues began but now that the bright circular spot seems to be gone the image burn-in issue is not really much of an issue, I just set the apps to full screen mode to hide all the panels while I work and when screen is displaying color other than black or grey it is barely noticeable. I do recommend this model if specially if you are using a generic monitor since the difference is extremely noticeable for me.

Works well for office tasks and moderate gaming (max refresh appears to be only 60 hz with no freesync). Lots of connectors. Connected easily to my VESA mount. Easily switchable between inputs.

So far so good. I have two of these monitors, one hooked up via the thunderbolt cable, the other via HDMI to my 2020 M1 Mac Mini. Both are working perfectly so far, I note that some other reviews have commented about flickering problems. I did have one issue with flickering on one of the monitors which was resolved by some re-boots and uninstalling the print-pro software that is used with the BenQ monitors.

Its tough to choose a monitor. Reviews are all over the place depending on the persons use. And review sites (outside of Amazon) cant always be trusted. However, I centered on the BenQ PD3220U and ended up buying another one. Although they dont have as many NITS brightness levels as the Apple OLEDs, theyre still excellent for working on photography, design and writing. I use them for all three and especially like the ability to set parameters through the BenQ App. It allows me to segment the screen, change color temp and other stuff to get the best result. Theres no issue with hooking up to my 2019 MacBook Pro but, unless you daisy chain the monitors, you may run out of USB=C ports. I have a few peripherals so I daisy chained and everything works fine. I will say that the USB power coming from the second daisy chained monitor doesnt throw out enough power to charge the iPad Pro 12.9. Phones do fine. If you hook both monitors directly to the MacBook then youll be fine. Whites are perfect and colors are vibrant. And the design perfectly fits the MacBook Pro. Bonus.

Brightness and volume cannot be controlled by your Mac keyboard or on-screen display. You must control these settings through the puck or the buttons on the back of the monitor. Otherwise, this seems to be a high quality monitor. The stand is nice and sturdy, and allows a lot of movement. I returned and replaced with an LG 27MD5KL. Yes the LG is a couple hundred $ more expensive, but it works seamlessly with my Mac (and its 5K, not 4K like the BenQ)

Picture quality is gorgeous, so I’m pretty happy. But the thing is really thick for the $$$.

The quality of the image is amazing, i love the color accuracy, the ips panel really stand up plus the amazing design, i love this kind of squared shaped monitors, also the stand is very solid and rigid. 5 stars. Edit, Suddenly i have noticed two white spots in the lower corner, now what?..... So dissapinting... I need some kind of custom service please...
