It’s one of those “you get what you pay for.” The description said there would be 3 HDMI ports, but instead had 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, and 1 DisplayPort. The VGA is so outdated and rarely used nowadays and seems unnecessary. Don’t get me wrong, I picked this up for $180, so I won’t complain too much, the picture quality is great for the price, it’s not 4k, but 1080p is all I will ever need. The 27” is HUGE, I have a small desk and it takes up the entire space. I would recommend for budget gaming, it supports 75 hertz (apparently) through the displayport, but I don’t have a DP cable, so i can’t try this. The build quality is good, I like the thin bezels and the stand it comes with. There is some cable management built into the stand which i found convenient, you just slide open the back of the stand and place the cables, and come out through the back of the stand. If you can cough up 100-200 more dollars, i would recommend getting an upgrade, but I don’t have a job, so I had to go with something cheaper. Overall, 7/10 budget gaming monitor for the 75 Hz IPS HDR monitor.

LOVE it. worth every penny. down side theres no remote control. a lot button select scroll select action. love watching old movies so it was an incredible change on the BENQ. cinema features. with no eye strain it was really enjoyable. games are fun. like i hoped. the 60Hz or 60 frames pre second with excellent darks and shadows with very little eye strain on details ups the game play. make sure you buy the one for what you want. if its games. BENQ game monitors. if its cinema tv show movies then BENQ theater movie monitors. official site comparison on sales prices of BENQ products to other retailers was pretty close with no difference on sales price. that was a plus. when its time for new one for what ever reason Ill be browsing BENQ first.

Great monitor but the speakers are lacking on internet sound... will need external speakers.

This monitor is *chefs kiss*. I Bought the EW2480. I am amazed and absolutely in love. The size, the clarity, the picture quality - everything is just the icing on the cake. Speakers are great! As for the HDR I cant decide between it being a gimmick or HDR..it improves picture quality yes but it just seems like a preset of picture settings? Casual non competitive gaming is great on this so dont fret or be scared away. This monitor is a very quality build for $180 (thats with tax) and to think I almost went with an Asus monitor thats 10 years old...for the same price..and not even a quality build. I also almost went with the GW2480 to save money but soooo glad I didnt. This monitor is a dream.

    1) Customer Service was prompt and responded to my e-mail the next morning. (2) My screen kept going off/on for 3-5 seconds about 30+ times a day. Problem has been solved and has not happened again for over a week. I usually charge my phone very close to my monitor but needed to move the phone and charging cord to a different spot. Immediately I noticed the screen no longer went off/on at all. I am not a technical person at all, but nothing else was changed or altered (cords were checked prior). I do not know if my phone had some sort of interference or not, but if this happens to you, at least try moving your phone away from the monitor - cannot hurt to try.

The screen initially was disappointing as indicated by many with white hue around the screen, but I noticed that the hue disappeared when I switch to my switch so I digged a bit deeper and experimented a bit and found out that macOS has HDR enabled by default for the external monitor and that HDR adds white hue around the screen. Once it is disabled the picture quality becomes better (there still might be slight white hue but it is a lot better) and really show its fantastic color depth. You can keep the emulated HDR that you set from the monitor buttons but you have to disable HDR within the display setting preference pane in the MacOS.

This review is for the 27 inch 1080p HDR model. Overall I like this monitor. However, there is bleeding/clouding in the bottom left corner that is distracting on dark screens. I use this with my Roku and as long as I am watching a show/movie that isnt too dark then I dont notice this defect. At this price range I am not too disappointed. A USB port would have been a nice addition.

This monitor is a must have for console gamers. The 4k clarity is great, and the HDR makes colors really pop! In a dark room the screen is more than bright enough. In a brightly lit room, its on par with most TVs. It also makes a great 4k computer monitor as well, only 60hz so not best for PC gaming, but a very nice general purpose PC monitor. Not the best build in speakers, but thankful it even has them.

Ill admit, I didnt check what cables this comes with, so I didnt realize that it doesnt have the DisplayPort cable needed for an RTX-2080 video card. Cable is now on order. Received the monitor and its excellent. Very happy with this purchase!
