> 24 hourWhy would noise cancellation be a rating for open back headphones?? Anyways, I am not sure what the deal is with the headphones. First off not sure if I received a refurbished or a knock off, but I reviewed other comments and appears these phones looks good and cheap at the same time. I hate the cable build. Even for this price it should have been detachable. The sound quality, as soons as I played music it sounded harsh, distorted, the highs were like sizzling in my ears it was likey ears were getting fatigued. So I played another song and another song , old songs from the 80s and every song sounded the same. Now I must say they are very detailed or more like overly detailed. It makes music sound bad. I changed the iTunes EQ to flat and it sounded a tad better. Running this out my Apollo twin interface which has enough power to push these, but I found turning the volume down LOW helped the ear fatigue but still the music sounded a mess. I found one song that sounded decent. How am I supposed bro know how to mix with these ? My judgement will be so far off comparing the mix from these with other cans. I am waiting for a high quality headphone amp to see if this makes a difference. But so far not pleased. But whats strange is I demoed these at guitar center and it sounded sooo superb which is why I bought these. I figured I got a bad pair but reading up on other reviews most everyone says the same thing. I am lossed. And cannot ever recommend these to anyone.

> 24 hourI was looking for a pair of open-back headphones for video editing purposes and audio mixing (primarily for work purposes) and I picked these up after months of deliberating with myself about whether to get the 80-Ohm or 250-Ohm model and decided on the 250-Ohm ones(I did some research and it appeared that my M Audio Air interface wasn’t capable of delivering quite enough power to drive these as I had hoped, so I ordered a separate amp+DAC that will be driving these soon).

> 24 hourSo, i went into these headphones knowing they received either glowing reviews, or were absolutely hated by reviewers. I love them. Admittedly, my hearing is somewhat shot after six years in the military, so they might actually have extremely high treble... but I dont think so. The bass comes through plenty strong, but is never overpowering, every sound is uniquely identifiable through it all. Great fidelity and sound staging all around. The cable stretches pretty darn far too, so thats a plus. Running with a Schiit Magni3+ /Modi setup.
