As you read the title, yes, plastic gets slimy. These bird beaks dip food into their water, try to bathe in it, and then it spreads bacteria into their water. We changed our budgies water dish 2x every single day, and still, by the 2nd time it was disgusting. Have used it for a week and so far so good! Nice and sturdy. Picture of our cute little, sassy, cuddle bird. Will get a better pic of the dish in place tomorrow.

Wish they didnt rust so badly around the edges when they get wet, and am not thrilled that the holders are warped more often than not, BUT! Note that I gave it four stars DESPITE this. Theyre the perfect size for my starlings to use for both food and water (one even bathes in his), they are very easy to keep clean, and I love that I can move them around to any area of the cage (as long as theres a crossbar; not sure how well theyd stay in place otherwise) to make the best use of the space. My older starling does seem to get overly excited by they shiny metal--he pecks at the side a lot--but honestly it keeps him entertained, plus hes developed the habit of tapping a certain way when he wants us to top off his water dish for bathing, so thats been hilarious and kind of cute. Overall, these do a great job for a low price.

Like everyone else, I am stuck at home these days. What better than to build an outdoor aviary for my parrots! These stainless cups are great. To attach the cups to 2x3 studs that I used to build my parrots play area, I just drilled holes into the wood and twisted the mounting screws into the holes. I had to twist the cup mounts to screw them into the wood, and I was impressed that the weld on these mounts could withstand the torque that was required.

I bought this cup as a treat cup for my conures. I like how easy it is to remove and clean. I wished the product image matched how the actual cup looks like. The product image looks stretched out and is definitely not the same as the one photoshopped next to a conure. But this works fine. It fits on my horizontal bars which have a half inch spacing. I put the metal bar on the back vertically to give it more support. If you have horizontal bars with a wider spacing it might not work. However, if you had a couple washers, that should help hold it up.

Used for a second feeding cup to hold fruit and veggies. Works great and cleans easily without removing the mounting screw.

I use this bowl in my rat cage. They were constantly knocking over their previous bowl and it was driving me nuts! This is very sturdy and impossible for them to knock down. So easy to clean, it pops right out of the ring. This has been a great cage addition!
