plenty of suction power and has a rotating head, that is what i was looking for, and easy to clean out.

I was looking for a lightweight stick vacuum that would be easy to carry up the narrow and steep stairs of our late 1800s house to the 2 upper bedrooms. So far this one fits the bill! Its lightweight but performs very well on hardwood floors and area rugs. Love the handheld vac feature too. Please dont be fooled by the buy all 3 gimmick like I was. The replacement filters dont fit and I dont believe the other filter type is even needed. The filter that comes with the vacuum washes up easily and nicely when needed.

For a smaller vacuum, I didnt expect super powerful suction but it definitely loses suction as the filter clogs up fast and needs cleaned. Otherwise, its great for a quick clean up.

I only had this nice vacuum a few days and used it once on my hardware floors and 8 X 10 carpets. Will probably give it 5 stars in my next review (too soon for that rating) and do have a few recommendations so far. Its not a heavy-duty vacuum and purchased it for something quick and easy to use for everyday light cleaning (I do have a heavy-duty vacuum also for heavier vacuuming once in a while). The vacuum is light, easy to set up, seems sturdy, can stand by itself against the wall, excellent 18 ft. electric cord, and good suction power on both hardwood and small carpets - exactly what I was hoping for. The brush turns nicely by motor power, not by air pressure as some models do. The following recommendations are minor, nice to have in future versions and not meant to be-little this so far nice vacuum: 1. Would be nice to have an additional button to turn on-off the brush (might help picking up matter from the hardwood floors but up to Bissell engineers to test this feature). 2. The vacuum handle is very smooth and allows the vacuum to twist in your hand easily. It would be nice to roughen this up a little so you have a little firmer grip that would help keep it from twisting left or right in your hand. Not a big deal but nice to have and should be an easy enhancement. 3. It would be nice to have a way to attach the Crevice tool (included for vacuuming hard-to-reach spaces and messes) to the vacuum when not in use. The Crevice tool comes with the vacuum but sometimes I cant remember where I left it from my last use of it. A quick plastic hook or catch on the handle would be nice, where it becomes part of the vacuum you carry around. As a temporary measure, I attached a piece of Velcro to the lower part of the long handle and a piece to one of the back sides of the Crevice tool and that seems to work fine (always know where I put it last). I am sure the Bissell engineers can find a little better solution. Should be an easy enhancement. 4. In addition to the Crevice tool, it would be nice to have a little brush attachment to vacuum furniture, for cat hair, etc. Not a big deal either but nice to have. 5. Would be nice to be able to hang on a closet wall. Could we please have some small plastic wall hanger, that can be screwed onto the wall to enable it to be hung from the wall. Doesnt need to be much of a hanger and not everybody would need or want it, but a nice, inexpensive addition for the unit. 6. Would be nice if the revolving brush mechnesim would swivel left and right. I had used this feature on a previous vacuum and loved it as I could reach awkard areas. 7. I still cant give this vacuum five stars as it could use more suction power. It does clean but I never feel the floors are really that clean. A little more suction power would be really nice but I guess that would compete with your more expensive vacuums. I purchased this vs. a cordless for the purpose of getting more power and of course use time. Unfortunately, power wise, it is comparable to an inexpensive cordless. Having used this now, and it does do a fair job, I would have returned it and reconsidered a cordless but my return policy has expired.

This is my third Bissell cleaning product. Im as pleased with this one as I am with my other two - a full-sized vacuum and a carpet steamer. It is very lightweight, which is perfect for use on stairs. The suction power is impressive for such a small vacuum. The only feature I wish it had (as others have mentioned) is the ability to turn of the brush.

My mother has a lightweight Eureka vacuum for bare floors and low carpets and it works like a dream. Of course, it is no longer made. I have a Eureka As One (Asone?) vacuum that works like a dream and, of course, is no longer made. I wanted a super lightweight vacuum with a beater brush so selected this one. It is mainly for picking up cat litter off a hard floor. It does do that. It has okay suction but not as much as my mothers vacuum. I like that it fits on a step and also that it comes apart to be a handheld if needed. Its fine. Nothing to rave about. Could use a bit more suction but if you are only going to do hard floors it should be fine.

This vacuum is lightweight, easy to use, and efficient. Many of the other lightweight, affordable vacuums do not have a brush roll feature, and this one is very good at cleaning up hair, dust, and crumbs from both carpet and tile floors, that is, when it’s actually working. When the brush roll is working, it quickly becomes full of hair (no pets - just 4 girls living in an apartment) which shows it is working instead of pushing the hair around, but it is a pain to clean. The manual does not give instructions on how to remove the brush roll for cleaning as this may affect the motor that is attached to it, so you are forced to cut the hair out from underneath. This is a tedious process and it still leaves tons of hair wrapped up around the sides that is almost impossible to remove unless you have hours to sit there and slowly cut and pull it out. Over just a few months, the hair has built up on the sides of the brush roll to where it will only spin for a short period of time before becoming stuck again (and then just pushes the hair around on top of the carpet). The vacuum is great otherwise, just needs a way to properly remove the brush roll for cleaning!

The foot of this vacuum does not lay flat and skips across the floor not vacuuming at all. If used alone with no attachments it has decent power.

Good dust cup size. Pulls apart for tight spots and crevices. Has 23 foot cord which is great. Easy to maneuver. Good suction.

I am a huge fan of Bissell and the performance of all the products I’ve purchased. I’m very disappointed with this item due to the fact that the Brush Roller is not removable. I vacuum daily I have long hair and it is extremely aggravating and frustrating cleaning the Roller. Otherwise It’s easy to assemble lightweight.
