BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam Pet Carpet Cleaner, 3432

> 3 dayI got this mainly to steam clean some large area rugs that I have. I was thinking about having them professionally cleaned, but now I can do it myself. This doesnt work on silk or delicate rugs, and the instruction manual says to check the manufacturers tag and testing for colorfastness before cleaning. What I found disappointing was that the hose and tool dont use steam, because I would also have liked to steam clean my couch and upholstered chairs. I want sure whether or not I could also use it on my tile floors, but after researching that, it seems like a bad idea. I probably should have considered a multi-surface model, but I do like the Hydrosteam feature and that cleaner can be used.

> 3 dayAfter spending 3hrs of cleaning pet pee and carpet stains, using all the Bissell detergents, carpet was soaked and still stinky. This machine barely has steam or suction to get detergent and water out. Honestly, it’s an excuse for the lazy housekeeper. Had to get the shop vac and scrub instead. Cheaper than buying this. $400 wasted.

> 3 dayThe suction power is very low, can not pick up too many dirt on the carpet. The steam function is fancy, but not worth the price.

> 3 dayI tested this out on an IKEA mattress (flat woven fabric) with a soda spill. The machine left behind nearly all the solution. I bought this to work dual purpose for a hand tool and the carpet features but was extremely disappointed. The Bissell little green does exponentially better without the idea of steam. Returning this as it is not worth the money or the hassle of talking to Bissell. Also the Bissell website sells theirs with a tray to guard the carpet while using the hand tool. This does not come with one and you have to tilt the machine to save the carpet while using the hand tool. Bissell really missed the mark. I was so hyped to get this and completely disappointed in the same instance of using it for the first time.

> 3 dayThis carpet cleaner from Bissel is super easy to use. It comes almost completely assembled, only requiring you to fit the clean water tank and snap in the handle. Once thats done, simply add water to the desired fill line (small area or large area) then add cleaning solution to the next line. As an initial test, I used this to clean the carpet of a medium sized bedroom. The rug did not have any real stains except for an area that had been discolored due to one of our dogs sleeping on the same spot for many, many years. I did not try the pretreat mode, but did use the max clean mode on that on discolored spot and used the quick dry mode on the rest of the carpet. There was a slight improvement in the discolored area, but I did not expect much as this spot has been many years in the making. I will go back over it again with the pretreat mode next time. I was also pleased that cleaning the entire room only used about on half of the small area solution (although I am sure that I would have gone through that much faster if I was using the Max Clean mode). However, the brown water in the dirty water tank attests to the amount of dirt removed even in the light cleaning mode. Cleanup was also very easy. The dirty water tank is easy to rinse and the roller cover pops off easily and can be rinsed out without too much effort. Even though I thoroughly vacuumed the room first, there was quite a buildup of dog fur in and around the rollers. It cleaned out easily, but I have to wonder if that could have clogged and compromised cleaning ability of the machine (possibly requiring an intermediate clean out). Overall, I was extremely impressed with how easy it was to use and how effective it was at pulling up dirt. It did not fully remove the old stain in my carpet, but it really would not be fair to expect it to (and I do suspect that repeated cleanings will likely make continued improvements). I also am looking forward to using the hose/attachments to clean our carpeted stairs. It appears to be well made and of high quality and I can easily recommend this carpet cleaner.

> 3 dayThe BISSELL Revolution HydroSteam Pet Carpet Cleaner is much easier to operate than old school carpet and upholstery cleaners. It only took 3 steps to put together and it was ready to use. Admittedly my living room rug had not been cleaned properly in over 4 years but the water coming out was black which is a win in cleaning. This Bissell also has upholstery cleaners that Im excited to try as my living room chairs are about a year old and will need cleaning soon. Excellent stream and deep cleaner.

> 3 dayFirst, trying to troubleshoot was a pain in the butt, I usde the QR code, and I got another ad. Finally able to get to a chat and half hour later the response I got was here’s your local repair shop since it’s under warranty… WTF?!? I don’t have time to screw with this, I have a new rescue puppy who isn’t housebroken. So much for being so supportive. Returning to Amazon, much faster than dealing with Bissell.

> 3 dayThis machine has a very satisfying fit and finish to it with a lot of thinking and experience behind its construction, allowing us to be set up and shampooing our carpets in very little time. Once underway we were surprised to see how dirty the discard water became and found the entire process to be easy and intuitive. A genuine 5-star purchase.
