Greater than one weekMERV 11 is a good balance between air flow and filtration capability. I tend to use better air flow rather than filtration, but this surely needs to be considered case by case per family respiratory sensitivity. Better air flow is also easier for AC unit to function, make sure to Google the MERV standard if any question.
