I love that the container holds more water and that it filters the water as it pours, but I think the older style pitcher filter makes the water taste better Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

I have the slim pitcher to fit into my refrigerator door. These new style filters came with it. I only have to change them once every few months. The picture itself has an indicator as to when to replace the cartridges. This is a different style in that you fill the picture with water and it filters as you pour the water out.

Some time ago I got one of these stream filter pictures for my parents. I guess they must not have caught on because theyre no longer available at my local supercenter (you know the one). We have one of the original Brita filter pitchers, and the stream version is just way ahead of it. I hope more people keep buying them because I wouldnt want them to stop making the filters. It is so nice to be able to pour straight out without having to wait for water to drip through.
