> 3 dayI love the quality and durability, but do think that it might be priced a little high. All in all, I think it works well for me

> 3 day2 year update: Still Loving the bag. Its become the designated tech bag for the laptop, accessories, tablet and Kindle. It lives in my vehicle for when Ive got downtime. Original revier: After reading the reviews I decided to pick this bag up instead of the smaller version, glad I did! Bag looks good, materials look and feel good, stitching looks rugged and overall its a great little bag. I was replacing my mil-tech brand assault pack, which looks like any basic military assault pack, but I wanted something a bit smaller. I bought this bag for running to work with my laptop and various gear, which its well suited for. I easily fit my Dell XPS 13 in the laptop sleeve, and I bet itll fit a standard 15 inch laptop, even if its a bit tight. Besides that I keep a smart phone, USB cords, laptop power supply, large logitech mouse, beats bluetooth head phones, a med kit and other junk. I could fit a change of cloths or a jacket as well if need be. I wouldnt take this on a trip, unless I had a second backpack or duffel. My assault pack was great for that use being as expansive as it was, but I didnt want a bag that big for back and forth to work or the coffee shop. I also dont suggest this as a day hike pack. I use my Osprey day pack for hiking, its far better suited for climbing than this bag. Walking around town may be fine, but I can already tell you that the bag will make my back hurt on a real hike (like a day hike up Mt. Monadnock or something). Things I like: The bag looks nice Construction quality looks appropriate Generally minimalist design Curved shoulder straps are comfortable Rubber bottom is a nice option The bag stands on its own, much better than flopping over Constructive Criticism: Ill agree with one of the reviews I read, two zipper pulls on the front pockets would be much better. You need to be conscious of what youre doing when opening the top small pocket, otherwise stuff will fall out. Not a deal breaker, but for future design considerations. Cell phone pocket could be a little bigger, my Galaxy S5 with spigen case is a tight squeeze. Side pockets fit a standard 100ml Nalgene. Again, its a tight fit. Carry handle could be longer, its a little hard to grab with my big mits. Bottom Line: Great bag for my intended purpose. If you want a bag to fly, take on road trips or hike a trail, this is not your best bet. If you need a coffee shop bag for your smaller laptop, plus a handful of accessories, then this thing is great.

> 3 dayI had been trying to find a book bag that wouldn’t make carrying items hurt my shoulders. I’m a college student who has to carry around notebooks, laptop, tablet, water etc. I got it today and wore it off to class as well. It was so comfortable it didn’t feel too rough, hard or too too new if that makes sense. It’s just really so comfortable. The laptop pouch is amazing, it actually is able to hold my laptop and have a strap keep it in place! It can also easily carry my 1L water bottle, it’s a chunky water bottle! Lastly the material is good, well done and good stitching. Overall I’d say it’s worth the money and it’s definitely going to last me for a while.

> 3 dayHeavy duty and durable! Love it, it’s my favorite book bag I use one for school and one for my union job! Anything carhartt makes is tough! It’s stylish and practical and also weather resistant!

> 3 dayGreat quality backpack with a noticeable increased amount of space. I use this for work have had it rub against a a 16d Nail in a tight space and I honestly couldnt find where the nail even scraped it. The space inside is also much better than a normal backpack so you can definitely fit much more in this. Its also heavily stitched at the appropriate places which makes it even stronger. This is definitely a long lasting backpack specially if used for casual use .

> 3 dayI settled on the Carhart after much research. I wanted leather at first, but couldnt afford it. This is a nice compromise and is probably more durable. It does what I need it to do. It carries my laptop, charger, mouse, lunch, and even my running shoes and clothes. I attach my coffee thermos and smoothie to the daisy chain loops if needed and carry personal protection, ear buds, and other items in the pouches. Its a perfect size for me. All that stuff up to the laptop on the table was in there!

19-12-2024I purchased this backpack several months ago for traveling back and forth to the office every day. I liked that has some padding to protect my laptop, and is roomy enough to carry a book and binder as well as a few folders. There are two outside zip pocks for adapters, chargers, etc. Two side pockets for water bottles. A great, sturdy backpack at a very reasonable price. Also, having worked in stables as a kid, I love the nostalgia of the Carhartt brand.

> 3 dayIts a bit small for my preferences. My old backpack had four pockets instead of three and I kept so much stuff in it. I needed to cut down my inventory a bit to fit it all in here. In my old backpack I kept the following: a pencil case full of writing utensils, a set pan watercolors, a calculator, a toothbrush, a travel first aid kit, a bag of ibuprofen, a bus schedule, a survival guide booklet, two small plastic lizards, a phone, a wallet, a swiss army knife, a small rope, a magnifying glass, two spools of thread and a needle, feminine hygiene products, a large sketchbook, a novel, an ipad mini, a water bottle, an apple and or a granola bar, and all of my notebooks, textbooks, and binders for school. I had to cut down to everything that was absolutely necessary for me. I made it work. It feels and looks great. Ive had it for about a month now and its held up perfectly so far (as to be expected). The tablet and laptop pockets are nice as well. I dont have a laptop yet but it seems like it will work well. The side pockets are sturdy and big enough to hold my 1000ml water bottle snugly. Like I said, its a bit small for me but I like to keep a lot of crap in my backpack. For a normal human who doesnt carry two small plastic lizards and a set of watercolors with them constantly, it should work fine.

Greater than one weekMy husband has been looking for a backpack that doesn’t sag down when there’s a lot of stuff in it. This backpack is very durable and holds a lot of stuff!
