These are easy to install under furniture on carpet. They are long, so youll have to trim once leveled.

I love composite shims. They dont swell, rot or split like wood. These shims are of the same quality found in my local home improvement stores, but man, they are priced ridiculously high. $8 for a 12 pack, $13 for a 24 pack. Locally, they cost $2.28 for a 12 pack.

I’m adding landscaping bricks to the top of an older retaining wall. Over time, some of the old bricks along the top of the wall have tilted a little back or forward. I used these shims under the new bricks to bring them back to level. I’d use a shim and a mallet under either the front or back of the added brick and check them with a bubble level. Once I had the new brick where I wanted it, I’d remove it, spray on some expanding gap-filling foam, and then set the brick back in place. I used a Dremel with a cutting wheel to cut the shim off at the edge of the brick. This gave me a good looking, level wall, with the bonus of having quite a lot of each shim to use between other bricks. They’re formed from a rugged plastic-like composite, 100% recycled material, and made in the USA. They’re inexpensive, you could use these on lots of projects, and they work well.

How do you write a review on shims. Quality is good. I used to level my hot tun. Couple of years later qnd still level.

Nothing is level at my house unless I make it that way. I never have tapered shims around, so I end up hunting for something the right thickness or making it, but sometimes you just need a wedge to jam in and shore something up. Im sure these will be very useful, as long as I keep them somewhere I can find them. A pack of 24 is enough to keep them a few different places!

I like these shims. They break off clean and the black color means they don’t stand out under a cabinet or anywhere else where it’s dark. Comes plenty in one pack. Since they are made out of recycled material you are helping out with using up some of the trash we throw out. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. I hope it has been helpful in providing you with more information.
