Hard, solid plastic shims. Very consistent sizing, and they easily snap off evenly. Exactly what Im looking for in a good shim. Perfect!

Always looking for shims and I usually use wood, I thought I’d like some variety in my shop and I do. I like these for the most part, but I’ll mark them down a point because they’re not actually easy to snap, as advertised. I had to bend them 10-15 times until I could finally break it, but at least it broke cleanly, so I don’t have a significant regret. Good and easy to use in all other senses!

I had a few things in the house and outside I needed to level and these came in handy. They are sturdy and work well. I have many left for future needs! Thank you!

I like these cause they work great. As good as wood shims. They snap or break so easy and stay in place better then wood. I like them. They are a little bit cheaper then wood.

These will come in handy when I install our doors in our house. Ive seen these at Lowes before and decided to get them here. They look identical to the one at local store so they should work well.

These composite shims are some of the handiest things for remodeling that Ive come across. Were always working on something around this old house, and it seems like nothing is ever level. So, shims are pretty much a necessity. These are great and they hold so much more weight than the softer wooden shims. These are scored so they can easily be cut to size, and I dont worry about them degrading due to weather. As far as Im concerned, these are the only shims well be using from now on. The price is reasonable and the quality is good, making these a good value for the money.

These shims are made of sturdy plastic. They are tapered at one end to make easy to jam them under uneven furniture and appliances. I like that they can be cut to the desired length by a tough pair scissors. I expect these to have a long life span. Definitely recommend.

I have used wooden shims for over 50 years to level up appliances and various furniture pieces. I ordered these as soon as I saw them because they seem to have several advantages. Composite shims should hold up better is basements, garages, etc. Because they are black, they are not as noticeable in most installations. Although they are not quite as easy to break as the product description indicates, I have found them much easier than wood, especially on the thicker end of the shim. I am a fan, and would recommend them for all types of appliance and furniture leveling. The other place that shims get used a lot is in door and window installations. I havent had the opportunity to use these composite shims in those applications yet, but it seems that the same advantages should apply there too. I like these shims a lot and am very happy with the ones Ive used.

Good shims, coming in a huge pack. Not very anti-slip though

40 Pack 8x1.5 Composite Shims. Tapers from 5/16 to 1/16; put two together for bigger gaps. Snaps clean and easily once you have it securely in place. Eco-friendly: made from 100% recycled plastic material. I use them to level base cabinets; can be used anywhere you need a shim. Supports an amazing amount of weight before deforming. Better than wood shims (plus they dont have to be sawed off).
