It was down to the Lian Li Lancool II, Phanteks P400, and this case. I chose Cooler Master because it was in stock, and could be shipped the fastest (no joke). These three were in the running after watching Gamers Nexus exhaustive case temperature reviews. After owning a premium NZXT Case, I didnt want my room to be a billion degrees any more. Whats better about this case? - it just works. It has the same cabling and general layout as any other midrange case, but the function is perfect (without sacrificing form). Theres not a lot to get in the way. - those 200mm fans in the front are stylish, quiet, and get the job done - my PC gets cool air in/out through it again, so the GPU and internal components dont heat up to Death Valley levels - the PSU shroud and 3.5 bay are removable My only complaint is that I cant fit a 280mm radiator, or really any radiator for that matter in the top. Thats fine, as I mounted my 280mm in the front behind the 200mm big and quiet fans, and they fit/look perfectly. This ends up being a minor annoyance, as I can still get an EVGA Hybrid card and use the back case fan slot for the radiator/exhaust.

One of the best cases I’ve ever used.

This is a really cool and unique design for a PC case with the 2 200mm fans in the very front. It is extremely easy to build in and has a very large amount of room for cable management in the back. The design of the glass side panel is also very well thought out with the 2 large screws that can be twisted by hand and the ledge that holds the glass in place to prevent you from dropping it before you can get a good trip when removing it. The 2 included fans are very quiet and functional, and do have RGB. However, the RGB only has a couple of settings and is overall a bit bland. Youll want to buy your own 200mm fans if you want them to sync up well with the rest of your RGB. My particular case came with a very small chip in the black paint (upper right hand corner next to the glass panel) that has gotten slightly larger over time. I suspect this would be fairly easy to cover up. Overall, if you like the design of the case its definitely worth the money. Build quality is great and it seems to be well thought out. Its a beautiful center piece for any gaming center in your house.

Got my case after waiting almost a week and got it all put together. First the good. The case seems to be well built and much sturdier than my old Corsair 100r. This case does help keep things cool. A 31 degree difference on my rig. Cable management is not bad. Compared to a 100R, its superbly fantastic! Plenty of room to build in. Now the bad. Less than 24 hours after getting everything put together, the rgb on the front fans quit. Well 1 blue light on the top fan works but wont change in any way. The fans do still run but 1 had a wobble in it from the get go. Contacted Cooler Master and they say that Im trying to run too many fans. Im running the 2 front fans the case came with as well as the rear exhaust fan the case came with. Too many, I think not! They say they are sorry for any problems that I may be experiencing with their product. No offer to send me two more fans, which I sent pictures showing the issue, the dont seems to care and have stopped responding to me. With that kind of customer service they should be run out of business. A shame really. I like the case, but will be sending it back and looking into another manufacturer who has a better customer service. Secondly, for reasons I can explain I have had 3 blue screens and 2 random restarts after using this case. Ive checked for something shorting out, standoff in the wrong place, anything that could be causing this. Nothing. Even reseated the ram and cpu. No improvement. Put everything back in my 100R and it works flawlessly. Runs hotter but works perfect. Dont know if something in the front ports are wacky or what. I think the thing is cursed. Bye Bye Cooler Master and Thanks for nothing!!!

I love it. I was skeptical that it would be too tight. I had a phantek p400 few years back and the MOBO was super tight, couldn’t plug in In peripherals straight. This one is much better. And the fans in the front are absolutely gigantic and quiet. LOTS OF AIR FLOW IN My specs: I7 Cooler master 240mm AIO RTX 2070 32gb vulkan ram Z590-PLUS ASUS MOBO I Recommend this case It has a lot of rgb connectors but just follow the manual and you should be set. It came in already connected w/ great cable management.

There was a lot of thought put into the versatility of this case. You can swap a mesh front panel with a tempered glass panel. You can remove a cutout to expose your power supply. You can remove another cover to allow you to front mount a 360mm radiator if you choose. One of my criteria was that I needed at least 380mm of radiator bracket space on top to mount my Alphacool Eisbaer 360mm AIO. The end tanks on this rad are larger than most, necessitating approximately 380mm of lengthwise mounting space. Most cases that advertise the ability to top mount a 360mm rad are very difficult to actually get it to fit while having the clearance for your RAM and the rear I/O shroud on the motherboard. The H500M, with its removable radiator bracket and spacious domed top panel makes mounting even the largest and thickest of 360mm radiators a breeze. You could even do a push/pull config if your fans arent too thick. The included 200mm intake fans, while being only 3 pin fans and operating at a single speed, are virtually silent while also giving you aRGB functionality. The included adjustable GPU bracket is a nice option too as well as the water pump mount. On the back side of the motherboard tray, there are three removable wire covers that help clean up unsightly cables. These trays could be a little deeper to give you some additional clearance, but I got them to fit back on nonetheless. I would give overall wire management a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. It would be nice to have some cable port grommets like most Fractal and Phanteks cases do. And it would be nice to have some port holes in the top of the PSU shroud so you could route your 8 pin GPU cables from directly below. Overall this is a terrific case, and the overall quality is better than average. Any price below 200 dollars is a good deal IMO. This case does what good cases do, it gives you the option to be as creative as you want to be with your build.

I dont care for case. I have an old Antec which I am satisfied with. But this H500 is epic. Evolution happened for a very good reason for this case. I loved almost every aspect of this case. And I am completely satisfied. I was hoping to go with mini-ITX and make case disappear. But I am gladly I ended up with H500. 1. Light. It is a HUGE case but it is still light. That is important. 2. Handle works. Handle was of the key feature I was looking for. This has handle and not just for cosmetics, it actually is usable. And it does not stick out. 3. 200mm fan. It is wonderfully quiet and well integrated. Best fan I have ever come across. 200mm if you have to build such size is AWESOME. It is running around 400-500rpm. 4. Real glass side panel. I dont care for looks much. But this glass screams I am fancy. It is real heavy glass. It adds most to the case but whole case isnt heavy so the look and feel of real glass adds much more than its weight negatives. 5. Cable management. It can be improved but I had so much fun cabling this. It has plenty to tidy up your cabling. I wont be spending any money with ARBG and other fancy lighting but I enjoyed with what came with. 6. Power button and front USB. I had older case and the placement of power button and USB made this case so much more comfortable using it. H500 is in short supply. They want $150 for this $100 case and again market is correct. It is worth $150. But I wouldnt spend that. I bought used and it came with one faulty back 120mm fan. nothing $5 wouldnt fix. I wont blame Cooler Master for it. H500 is AWESOME CASE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    Greater than one week

I previously had a case with a front panel that was choking the life out of my parts. After some research, I found this magnificent case. I already had an extra 200mm and 140mm set of fans to put inside, so I swapped over the 200mm Coolermaster fans to the top of the case. The front support for fans seemed a bit off, so I had to use zip ties to hold my own fans in place. It works fine and its pulling in air from two 200mm fans in the front while pushing air out the top and back with one 140mm fan and two 200mm fans. It is all Ive ever wanted. My only gripes are that with so many RGB fans and their own controllers, cable management was not as easy as Id hoped it would be in the back. It is a surprisingly tight fit back there with everything moving around and having to go to its proper place. Also the USB plugs for the front of the case just dont work well with my motherboard when it comes to the slots for cables built-in to the case. I opted to have them not plugged in at all because they were either sticking out the side, or they were bent trying to enter from the bottom. Actually bent my USB pins on my motherboard because of this. So, my advice is to try and get them plugged in on the opening from the right, and not the bottom.

I replaced my 8 year old Nzxt Phantom case with this fantastic piece of equipment, and what suprized me the most has got to be those 200mm fans and how effortlessly they push air through the case at such low rpms. Half of me was honestly expecting them to be very gimmicky and mediocre, boy was I suprized and at full rpm they push some serious air.

The Aorus master has a 3 pin and 4 pin d-led slots. The H500 has a pre-installed ARGB splitter- with 1 cable that reads ASUS-MSI, and another that reads GIGABYTE. But that gigabyte cable? Doesnt fit properly to the 3 pin slot. So what? do you use only 3 of the 4 pins on the 4 pin slot? Or do you use the ASUSMSI 3 pin cable (which will fit on the 3 pin d-led)? Yep.. Use the asus cable. Yes it works fine with gigabyte mobos- its just a cable after all. Someone at COOLERMASTER needs to get the memo about this apparently, cause frustratingly enough- they have a faq for the 3 pin fans to the 4 pin connectors, but NOT the ARGB situation. I havent seen it cleanly explained ANYWHERE, so there ya go. Even the manuals for gigabyte and the h500 were of little help on this confusion situation. I hope I just saved a lot of you 12+ hours of dizzying hair pulling stressful research. You are welcome internet. Soo how is the case? Well its the first pc Ive built since 2014, so maybe everything has gotten really good in that time but I dont know. I just know its incredible. The cable management. The space. The cooling. The housing for psu and ssdhdd. all of it is such a big win! Its soo quiet my jaw hit the floor first time I fired it up. Seriously HOW IS IT THIS QUIET!? I paired it up with a noctua d 15 which is also impossibly quiet. In low mode (which is when you are in windows not gaming) its but a tiny whisper. When gaming it gets louder but still a big improvement from my old coolermaster case from eons ago. LIGHT SHOW! The giant fans look downright industrial neon city. I am instantly addicted to 200mm fans and leds now. With how spacious this case is (this would have been called full tower at one time I bet lol) and how gorgeous the fans and lights are, with the glass side I am surprised how good it looks in person, and you better believe it looks great in a dark gamers room. STURDY! Wow is it heavy duty. The steel on this thing is thick. I dont think Ill have any issues with durability on this, at least not on the frame. Front Port panel- This is one the reasons I chose this over other 200mm case fan models (like the monotech). I love how the front panel is slanted, and works great for my needs. Having the case on the floor its perfect to see what i am plugging into. 4 usb ports is plenty for anything I want to do, and the microphone port is on the side I want and need (less cable stretching) BREATHE- Vents vents vents, everywhere cept the back side panel (which is normal among cases). This case is soo big it has no problem breathing and keeping your stuff cool. CONS- The only con I can find- is the 200mm fans are soo quiet, I can hear some tiny wobble in both of them. I dont think its a defect, more like normal operating noise you simply would not hear with normal noisy fans. CONCLUSION- I never imagined spending 100$ on a case before, now I cant imagine spending less. The h500 argb is incredible, and its fun to see how much case tech has advanced in the past 10 years. Even if you are like me (not an expert pc builder) its neat how easy its getting to make sweet looking towers that make all those console kids pretend they are not impressed). This is all just part of PC MASTER RACE PRIDE! And what a proud day it is to be a member of this fine race of superior gamers. Dont buy a cheapy 40$ case that cant breathe then stuff a 3080 in there! Esp if you dont have AC in the summer =D. Thank you coolermaster- but please update your instructions (esp on your web site), cause they utterly failed to mention the asus cable can and SHOULD be used for some gigabyte mobos.
