Corsair 4000D Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Case - Black

> 3 dayAfter finally deciding to throw in the towel with my old case not even a year of usage, I was fed up with the daisy-chained, Molex-connected stock fans. I was torn between this model and the tempered glass model of the 4000D, and wow am I happy with my choice. Unloaded benchmarks cap out at 28 C while having the Corsair H115i Platinum AIO, which is also a new addition. I also love how simplistic the front panel is to remove, and the magnetic dust filter is an extremely nice touch. If youre a sucker for tempered glass, this case is no shot in the dark and in my opinion looks just as good while having additional airflow.

> 3 dayAs far as mid sized cases go, the 4000D Airflow is excellent quality. Some reviews have mentioned an issue with the front dust filter rubbing against the fans and making noise, but I havent experienced that myself. The overall construction of the case is sturdy and, while not especially roomy, there is adequate space to work with when assembling your pc. It should be noted that while it claims to accommodate a 240mm radiator mounted at the top of the case, this may not be possible, not only because of ram—as mentioned in the specifications—but also because of the I/O shroud, which is the problem that I encountered when installing the NZXT Kraken Z63. Additionally, it may be entirely impossible to mount a radiator larger than 120/140mm in the front of the case depending on which manufacturer you get a Nvidia 4000 series GPU from. This isnt exactly a design flaw of the case, however, as it was released roughly 2 years prior to the 4000 series GPUs. Ive installed a Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Master, which is about 342mm long. This leaves enough space to mount a fan, but not enough for the Z63 radiator. Really though, it is an excellent case that should work fine with an CPU air cooler or a front radiator mount, so long as your GPU length allows.

> 3 daySo during the height of the GPU shortage, I ended up buying a prebuilt with a 3080 Ti in it for the same price it would have cost me to get a card on its own. Computer was great except for one thing I didn’t like: the case. Being an ABS prebuilt, it was in a Rosewill case. Months and months go by, and my mother board fails.

> 3 dayThe case is reasonable in most aspects, but the glass side panel is particularly weak. Ive had the case about 7 months. Unscrewed the two side screws two on the front panel two weeks ago to add an m.2 drive. The panel shattered in my hands. It didnt hit off anything or fall. It just shattered in my hands after having been removed from the case. Took me a few hours to get all the shards of glass off my skin and clean up. Will likely be finding tiny shards in the components for some time, hoping it wont do too much damage. If you have the ability to get a different panel or machine your own perspex one. Id strongly recommend it. Otherwise Id avoid this case.
