I figured I would have to spend an hour or 2 playing with clocks and adjusting things in the BIOS to make sure these RAM chipsets would be working optimally. I have an i7-7700K from like early 2016 so I really wasnt sure if I would be able to run anything above 3000Mhz but I literally only had to plug these chips in and they were functioning at 3600Mhz. I already had XMP enabled in my BIOS (if youre new to building PCs, XMP is extremely easy to enable in BIOS, all you have to do is press F2 or whatever your boot-up menu tells you to press in order to get into the bios and then the rest will be a cakewalk for you) so I think thats why I didnt have to do anything besides physically slotting them into my MOBO. Very happy with these RAM sticks.

Excellent choice of RAM with a good speed that should last you a few years, maybe even transferable to the next PC you build!

I test RAM with PassMark MemTest86 before using it to detect issues and found that this kit (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16) produced thousands of errors when it was running at 3200MHz on an ASRock X470 Taichi motherboard. I know the ASRock board and CPU are ok because of tests Ive run on it with different RAM (‎CMW16GX4M2C3200C16).

Ram is ram. If you know what ram is you know why youre buying it. Working as intended so far just dont put it in backwards.

Using a Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard.

Got to work out of the box at the full 3600mhz speed on DIMM Slot 2 and 4 on the B450 Tomahawk motherboard. To get it to work on the B450 tomahawk just change it to either of the XMP profiles (I picked 2).
