I have used the Fiskars cutting pads for years. I have never had this happen before. The paper is completely stuck to the pad and when I’ve tried to scrape it off with the included tool, the green on the cutting pad is peeling off.

My vinyl stuck to it and ruined. It wouldnt peel off. Lost money for mat and vinyl!!

The standard grip mat (green) is way stronger than my other standard mats. Pieces of the mat stuck to the plastic of my HTV si the mat is patchy. Tried using it for stencil vinyls and couldnt get my stencil off without ruining it. Most of the backing stuck so strong I had to scrape it off. The light grip (blue) works great. Havent tried to purple strong grip mat yet. Kind of afraid to try it since standard was so strong and this one is supposed to be stronger.

Cheaper to buy here than in store. I received 3 mats for just about the same price for a pack of 2 at Walmart. The mats are VERY sticky. Dont use straight out of the pack, condition them first by using an old cotton shirt. Blot it all over the mat so that it lints it up a little or you will ruin your mat quickly. If you dont condition it, even if you use your proper tools, the paper rips and its hard to get off and you will ruin your mat trying.
