Cricut Weeder Tool, Assorted

I use this as a loom pick, so cannot say whether it works for its original advertised purpose since I dont have the product. But for my use, it is perfect.

Im new to Cricut and after researching and watching a bunch of videos discovered that I likely wouldnt need everything in the Cricut tool set. As I was purchasing not only the machine, but vinyl and tools as well, I decided to get just a couple of tools and if I needed more I could always buy them. This seemed like a really good deal for the price so I bought this, the XL scraper, the Cricut brayer (a must have IMO), and the stylus only. The quality here is good, as expected, but honestly, Ive used the dollar store pin pickers (work like a pin pen) more than this tool, but hey... it was a good deal for the Cricut brand, so Im not disappointed.

I typically do not buy Cricut brand tools because they can be overpriced. I do love this weeding tool! It is comfortable and easy to hold. The point is at a good angle for pulling the vinyl up. A few cheaper weeding tools I have tried have broke after lots of use. This weeding tool stays pointed and sharp even after a lot of use. I grab for this every day while crafting!

I’m kinda surprised Cricut doesn’t give you one of these when you buy one of their machines because you will use it a lot! This is a high quality tool and I have had no issues with it but it doesn’t come with a tip protector. You can make one out of silicone tubing to slip over the end when not in use. Also, don’t drop it on a hard floor because it will most likely land on the tip and bend it. You want your tip to be straight and sharp to be most effective especially with intricate designs. The Cricut branded tools do not disappoint!

I personally havent used this tool very much. It was recommended during a Cricut Class that Im taking, so I purchased it to have for use in the future. I would recommend it for anyone who uses a Cricut machine of any time ESPECIALLY if you do anything with Vinyl or small pieces of paper. Its a good value, and I will purchase again if the need arises. I also would purchase from the seller I used if they had something that I needed in the future.
