I bought my husband a Lenovo Thinkpad E585 a bit over a year go, intending for him to use it to check email and watch YouTube. He has really enjoyed using it and even installed video games; however, the default 4GB RAM is insufficient to keep up with his new hobbies. I installed this 32 GB last week when he was at work. The difference was immediately obvious. He is thrilled with his laptop again.

Received original product from Appario. Laptop feels much smoother to use now, even though the performance difference (max) is not much. Dual channel helps a lot. No lags.

I added this 8GB Ram chip to my laptop giving me 16 GB of Ram. This was for running a video editing software package. I looked on YouTube on how to fit it, and it was simple, and took 10 minutes to fit. The chip works well, and the laptop recognised the new chip immediately. I would recommend anyone thinking of adding extra Ram to do the same.

Crucials performance/costs ratio is the best

I was looking to upgrade the ram on my Synology DS220+ and read reviews from customers and most of them said it was compatible with Synology DS220+ NAS. However, I think Crucial (along with other brands) have started shipping single rank R1x8 version of the ram vs the dual rank R2x8 version of the ram.
