Purchased 2 8gb sticks to run in dual channel for my new PC and started getting frequent crashes within a week. Eventually it reached the point where my PC would blue screen within minutes of bootup. Tried multiple solutions until I decided to test the RAM for issues. First I booted with the single faulty stick and as expected, my PC didnt last 5 seconds post bootup before blue screen crashing. After that I removed the faulty stick and booted with the other single stick and then my PC ran perfectly without issues. I will have to issue an RMA for the faulty stick.
