DANIEL SMITH 284610057 Extra Fine Watercolors Tube, 5ml, Moonglow

Watercolor made from amethyst crystals. It’s a gorgeous purple and when dry sparkles beautifully from the crushed up crystal. There’s really nothing out there like it and if you like purple then this should be part of your palette.

As an artist, my daughter was very excited to get several Daniel Smith items for gifts this holiday.

Mixes easily with water.

The quality of DS watercolor paints is not in doubt and I received my Prime order quickly as expected. I had to LOL when I received my package though. My tiny 5ml tube came in a HUGE envelope.

A nice color but was expecting a matte finish rather than pearlescent. I guess I should have guessed it would be because of the crystalline nature of amethyst but I was not thinking about that at the time. Im aiming to collect all the gemstone/stone paints from Daniel Smith

Amazing color but keep in mind it isnt the greatest lightfastness rating. For about 2 dollars more you can get the full size tube of this (see photo comparing small size to full size). I accidentally ordered this small size. IG: elin_winblad

Love the pigments of Daniel Smith.

Daniel Smith green gold was recommended to me by a workshop instructor as a color that would transform many blues into a wide variety of greens. It does, and I will use it a lot!
